Teaser trailer & poster for movie “Swan and Bat”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Swan and Bat” (literal title) starring Hokuto Matsumura & Mio Imada. The mystery film is based on 2021 novel “Hakucho to Komori” by Keigo Higashino and directed by Yoshiyuki Kishi (“Sunset Sunrise“). Actors Tomokazu Miura and Shikan Nakamura have been announced to play important supporting characters in the movie. The teaser trailer begins with Tomokazu Miura as Tatsuro Kuraki confessing to a murder by stating “I did everything.”

“Swan and Bat” will be released September 4, 2026 in Japan.

Main trailer & poster for movie “The Phone of The Wind”

Main trailer and poster added for movie “The Phone of The Wind” starring Serena Motola, Hidetoshi Nishijima, & Tomokazu Miura. Movie is inspired by the true story of a man who placed a telephone booth in his garden. The location became a destination for those grieving over lost ones from the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The screenplay follows young woman Haru (Serena Motola) as she travels from Hiroshima to Iwate Prefecture. It’s 8 years after she lost her family in the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

“The Phone of The Wind” will be released January 24, 2020 in Japan.

Here’s the first teaser poster and still images for upcoming film “A Forest of Wool and Steel” starring Kento Yamazaki. Movie is based on novel “Hitsuji to Hagane no Mori” by Natsu Miyashita and directed by Kojiro Hashimoto. The film follows high school student Naoki Tomura (Kento Yamazaki) as he becomes interested in piano tuning.

Kento Yamazaki & Tomokazu Miura cast in movie “A Forest of Wool and Steel”

Kento Yamazaki & Tomokazu Miura are cast in new movie “A Forest of Wool and Steel” (“Hitsuji to Hagane no Mori”). The film is based on 2015 novel “Hitsuji to Hagane no Mori” by Natsu Miyashita, which won the 13th Japan Booksellers’ Award in 2016. Kojiro Hashimoto, who worked with Kento Yamazaki in 2015 film “Orange,” will direct the film. In the film, Kento Yamazaki will play Naoki Tomura. He is a high school student in a small Hokkaido village. Once he hears Soichiro Itadori (Tomokazu Miura) tune the piano at his high school, his life changes. He tries to become a piano tuner himself.

Supporting cast announced for WOWOW drama series “Cold Case”

Kento Nagayama, Kenichi Takito, Ken Mitsuishi and Tomokazu Miura are all cast in upcoming WOWOW drama series “Cold Case” starring Yo Yoshida. All four of the newly announced cast members will play detectives on the unsolved cases investigation team.

In the drama series, Kento Nagayama will play Shinjiro Takagi. He is 31-years-old, ambitious and an arrogant detective. Kenichi Takito will play Daisuke Tachikawa. He is a honest, but hot-tempered detective. He is separated from his wife. Ken Mitsuishi will play Toru Kaneko. He analyzes cases with the help of his many years of experience in the field. Tomokazu Miura will play Hidetoshi Motoki. He leads the investigation team for unsolved cold cases.

“Cold Case” first airs October 22, 2016 in Japan.

Rena Tanaka cast for movie “Katsuragi Case”

Actress Rena Tanaka is cast for upcoming movie “Katsuragi Case” (literal title) starring Tomokazu Miura, Kaho Minami, Hirofumi Arai & Ryuya Wakaba. Movie is written and directed by Masaaki Akahori (“The Samurai That Night“). Premise for the film follows the Katsuragi family. Their 21-year-old son Minoru (Ryuya Wakaba) kills 8 people and goes on death row. Actress Rena Tanaka will play Junko Hoshino. Her character is opposed to the death penalty and she decides to marry Minoru to show her opposition to the death penalty.

“Katsuragi Case” will be released sometime this summer in Japan.

Main trailer and poster added for upcoming film “64: Part I” starring Koichi Sato, Gou Ayano, Nana Eikura, Eita, Tomokazu Miura & Masatoshi Nagase. Movie is based on 2012 novel “64 (Rokuyon)” by Hideo Yokoyama and directed by Takahisa Zeze (“Heaven’s Story“). Story for the film involves an unsolved child murder case. The statute of limitations is set to expire on the murder, then a similar kidnapping case takes place.

Release date for “64: Part I” is now set for May 7, 2016 in Japan.
