Kazunari Ninomiya cast in movie “Exit 8”

Kazunari Ninomiya is cast in movie “Exit 8.” Movie is based on video game “8ban Deguchi” and directed by producer-screenwriter-director Genki Kawamura. The film has the unusual premise of a man lost within in an underground passageway that seems loop infinitely and also exhibiting strange behavior. The man must find Exit 8, to get out. Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer and poster has also been released. The teaser trailer can be viewed at AsianWiki via the Exit 8 link above or below.

“Exit 8” will be released August 29, 2025 in Japan.

Kazunari Ninomiya cast in TBS drama “Black Forceps Season 2”

Kazunari Ninomiya is cast in TBS sequel drama series “Black Forceps Season 2.” The first season, originally aired in 2018 on TBS, featured Kazunari Ninomiya playing highly skilled surgeon Seishiro Tokai. The drama series is based on 2007 novel “Black Pean 1988” by Takeru Kaido (“Glory of Team Batista“). 

“Black Forceps Season 2” first airs July, 2024 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Friday 9PM time slot after “Antihero“).

Kazunari Ninomiya, Takao Osawa & Miki Nakatani cast in Fuji TV drama “One Day”

Kazunari Ninomiya, Takao Osawa and Miki Nakatani are cast in Fuji TV drama series “One Day: Seiya no kara Sawagi.” Drama series will be directed by Masayuki Suzuki (“Masquerade Hotel“) and scripted by Yuichi Tokunaga (“Daughter of Lupin“). The drama series will also feature Takao Osawa and Miki Nakatani starring together in a drama series for the first time since 2011 TBS drama series “Jin 2.” Story for “One Day: Seiya no kara Sawagi” will have the three main characters coming from different backgrounds but their fates become intertwined as the truth behind a shooting case is revealed.

“One Day: Seiya no kara Sawagi” first airs October, 2023 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 9PM time slot after “Manatsu no Cinderella“).

Teaser trailer & poster for movie “Fragments of the Last Will”

Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Fragments of the Last Will” starring Kazunari Ninomiya & Keiko Kitagawa. Movie is based on non-fiction novel “Lageri kara Kita Isho” by Jun Henmi. The novel and the film is based on the life of Hatao Yamamoto. The film is set after WW2, with Hatao Yamamoto and his fellow Japanese soldiers trying to survive in a concentration camp in Siberia, Russia.

“Fragments of the Last Will” will be released December 9, 2022 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for movie “Tang”

Teaser trailer and release date set for movie “Tang” starring Kazunari Ninomiya. In addition, the first group of supporting cast members has been announced for the film and they are Hikari Mitsushima, Mikako Ichikawa, Shinya Kote, Nao, Taiga Kyomoto, and Tetsuya Takeda. The teaser trailer begins with Ken Kasugai (Kazunari Ninomiya) and the Ponkotsu Robot meeting for the first time.

“Tang” is now set for release August 11, 2022 in Japan.

Kazunari Ninomiya & Mikako Tabe cast in TBS drama “My Family”

Kazunari Ninomiya and Mikako Tabe are cast in TBS drama series “My Family.” The original screenplay is scripted by Tsutomu Kuroiwa and directed by Shunichi Hirano. Screenwriter Tsutomu Kuroiwa and Director Shunichi Hirano previously worked together on TBS’ 2021 drama series “Tokyo MER: Mobile Emergency Room.” In “My Family,” Kazunari Ninomiya and Mikako Tabe will play a married couple who must deal with the kidnapping of their daughter.

“My Family” first airs April, 2022 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Sunday 9PM time slot after “DCU“).
