Masaki Aiba and Emi Takei cast in Fuji TV drama series “The Aristocrat Detective”

Masaki Aiba (‘Arashi’) and Emi Takei are cast in new Fuji TV drama series “The Aristocrat Detective” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Katsuhisa Namase, Haruka Igawa, Kenichi Takito, Miho Nakayama and Yutaka Matsushige. Yukie Nakama is also cast for the drama series, but her character has not yet been revealed. Drama series “The Aristocrat Detective” is based on 2010 novel “Kizoku Tantei” by Yutaka Maya. For the drama series, Masaki Aiba will play the title character who calls himself the “Aristocrat Detective.”  He doesn’t actually solve the cases himself, but has his employees like his chauffeur (Kenichi Takito), maid (Miho Nakayama) and butler (Yutaka Matsushige) carry out the investigations. Emi Takei will play Aika Takatoku. She is also a detective and competes with the Aristocrat Detective to solve cases.

“The Aristocrat Detective” first airs April, 2017 in Japan.

Visuals of Kento Yamazaki and Takumi Saito in movie “Yo-Kai Watch the Movie: Sora Tobu Kujira to Daburu Sekai no Daiboken da Nyan!”

Here’s visuals of Kento Yamazaki and Takumi Saito in upcoming movie “Yo-Kai Watch the Movie: Sora Tobu Kujira to Daburu Sekai no Daiboken da Nyan!” Movie features a mixture of animation and live-action. For Kento Yamazaki and Takumi Saito, they will appear in live-action scenes as King Enma and Nurarihyon respectively.

“Yo-Kai Watch the Movie: Sora Tobu Kujira to Daburu Sekai no Daiboken da Nyan!” will be released December 17, 2016 in Japan.

Emi Takei cast in TV Asahi drama special “Setouchi Shonen Yakyu dan”

Emi Takei is cast in new TV Asahi drama special “Setouchi Shonen Yakyu dan.” The drama special is based on 1979 novel “Setouchi Shonen Yakyu dan” by Yu Aku. The novel was previously adapted into a 1984 movie of same name. Premise for the film is set after World War II. Emi Takei will play a teacher who decides to form a baseball team and becomes its coach to help inspire her students.

“Setouchi Shonen Yakyu dan” will air sometime this fall in Japan.

Emi Takei and Hideaki Takizawa cast in live-action TBS drama series “Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru”

Emi Takei and Hideaki Takizawa are cast in live-action TBS drama series “Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru.” Drama series is based on manga series “Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru” by Miyuki Kitagawa. Also cast in the drama series are Aoi Nakamura, Erena Mizusawa, Reina Triendl and Mitsuomi Takahashi. In the drama series, Emi Takei plays Mia Kurihara. She works in the PR department at a company. She falls in love with the Vice President at the company played by Hideaki Takizawa, but he is married.

“Seisei Suruhodo, Aishiteru” first airs this July in Japan.

Here’s the first still image Shun Oguri in upcoming live-action film “Terra Formars” directed by Takashi Miike. The still image is of a scene with Ko Honda (Shun Oguri) meeting candidates to become crew members including Shokichi Komachi (Hideaki Ito). The backdrop of the streets in Japan have turned into a slum due to the disparity between the rich and poor. Meanwhile, the selected crew members will make a trip to Mars to take out giant mutated cockroaches that are able to walk.

“Terra Formars” will be released April 29, 2016 in Japan.

Emi Takei is cast in Fuji TV drama series “Fragile”

Emi Takei is cast in upcoming Fuji TV live-action drama series “Fragile” starring Tomoya Nagase. Also cast in supporting roles are Koyuki, Kinya Kitaoji & Shuhei Nomura. Drama series is based on manga series “Fragile” by Bin Kusamizu & Saburo Megumi

In drama series “Fragile.” Emi Takei will play rookie pathologist Chihiro Miyazaki. She is full of passion and pure in her desire to save the lives of patients. Shuhei Nomura will play Chihiro Miyazaki. His character is a clinical laboratory technologist. Koyuki  will play Madoka Hosoki. Her character is a surgeon and graduated from the same university as Keiichiro Kishi (Tomoya Nagase). Kinya Kitaoji will play Kaoru Nakaguma. He is a former instructor of Keiichiro Kishi.

“Fragile” first airs January 13, 2016 in Japan.

2nd teaser trailer for upcoming live-action film “Terra Formars” starring Hideaki Ito, Emi Takei, Takayuki Yamada & Shun Oguri. The teaser trailer features the main characters for the first time and also briefly reveals the genetically mutated cockroaches. “Terra Formars” is based on manga series “Tera Fomazu” by Yu Sasuga and directed by Takashi Miike (“13 Assassins“).

new teaser poster for Takashi Miike’s “Terra Formars”

New teaser poster added for upcoming live-action film “Terra Formars” starring Hideaki Ito, Emi Takei, Takayuki Yamada & Shun Oguri. Movie is based on manga “Tera Fomazu” by Yu Sasuga and directed by Takashi Miike (“Crows Zero“).

The new teaser poster reveals the main characters played by Hideaki Ito, Emi Takei, Takayuki Yamada and Shun Oguri in a spacesuit for the first time. Premise for the film features an epic battle between humans and genetically mutated cockroaches on Mars.

Release date for “Terra Formars” is now set for April 29, 2016 in Japan.
