Yuri Chinen, Taishi Nakagawa & Nana Komatsu cast in live-action film “Kids on the Slope”

Yuri Chinen (‘Hey! Say! JUMP’), Taishi Nakagawa and Nana Komatsu are cast in live-action film “Kids on the Slope.” The live-action film is based on manga “Sakamichi no Apollon” by Yuki Kodama and directed by Takahiro Miki. Story for “Kids on the Slope” has Yuri Chinen playing introverted freshman high school student Kaoru Nishimi. He moves out to a new town because of his father’s job and meets two students played by Taishi Nakagawa & Nana Komatsu. Kaoru Nishimi discovers the joy of playing jazz music with his friends. Yuri Chinen & Taishi Nakagawa have been practicing playing the piano and drums since last year to play their roles.

“Kids on the Slope” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Main trailer for movie “The Merciless”

Main trailer for upcoming movie “The Merciless” starring Sol Kyung-Gu & Siwan. “The Merciless” will have its world premiere at the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival in the Midnight Screenings section. Story for “The Merciless” follows Jae-Ho (Sol Kyung-Gu) who wants to become the #1 guy in a crime organization and Hyun-Soo (Siwan) who is not afraid of anything.

“The Merciless” opens May, 2017 in South Korea.

First script reading for MBC drama series “All Kinds of Daughters-in-Law”

First script reading for MBC drama series “All Kinds of Daughters-in-Law” took place April 6, 2017 at MBC Dream Center in Ilsan, South Korea. At the first script reading, main cast members including Ham Eun-Jung (’T-ara’), Lee Joo-Yeon (ex ‘After School’ member), Kang Kyeong-Jun and Cha Do-Jin all attended.

First still images of Kim Min-Jae in KBS2 drama series “The Best Hit”

Here’s the first still images of Kim Min-Jae in upcoming KBS2 drama series “The Best Hit” (literal title), also starring Yoon Si-Yoon and Lee Se-Young. The still images are from Kim Miin-Jae’s first day of filming for the drama series. His first day of filming took place April 19, 2017 in Seoul, South Korea. In the upcoming drama series, Kim Min-Jae plays Lee Ji-Hoon. He makes others think he is preparing for a civil servant exam, but he is actually practicing to become an idol. He hides this small fact even in front of his dad played by Cha Tae-Hyun. His father runs an entertainment company, but Lee Ji-Hoon is attempting to become an idol for rival company Star Punch Entertainment .

Suzu Hirose cast in live-action film “Chihayafuru Part 3”

Suzu Hirose is cast in live-action film “Chihayafuru Part 3” (“Chihayafuru Musubi”). Also set to return to their familiar roles are Shuhei Nomura, Mackenyu, Mone Kamishiraishi, Yuma Yamoto, Yuki Morinaga, Hiroya Shimizu and Mayu Matsuoka. The film will also feature new cast members Mio Yuki, Hayato Sano (‘M!LK’), Kaya Kiyohara and Kento Kaku. The film takes places 2 years after “Chihayafuru Part 2” with Chihaya Ayase (Suzu Hirose) now a high school senior. Movie is based on manga series “Chihayafuru” by Yuki Suetsugu.
