Teaser trailer added for movie “The King’s Warden” starring Yu Hae-Jin and Park Ji-Hoon. Movie, directed by Jang Hang-Jun (“Rebound“), is set during the Joseon period and follows a village chief (Yu Hae-Jin), who hears a rumor that any village that hosts an exiled nobleman will be graced with good fortune. The nobleman turns out to be deposed king Danjong (Park Ji-Hoon). “The King’s Warden” will be released February 4, 2026 in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: A young king (Park Ji-Hoon) is dethroned and exiled to a small village in a mountain valley with his court lady (Jeon Mi-Do). He meets the villagers there, including the village chief Heung-Do (Yu Hae-Jin). The chief and the village residents look after the young dethroned king.
