Teaser poster and release date added for movie “Crypto Man” starring Song Jae-Rim, An Woo-Yeon, and Min Sung-Wook. The film is the last work done by the late actor Song Jae-Rim who died on November 12, 2024. Movie “Crypto Man” is loosely based on a true story. Caption on the teaser poster states “50 trillion won has evaporated.”
“Crypto Man” is now set for release January 15, 2025 in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Do-Hyun (Song Jae-Rim) is a young ambitious man. He realizes there is blind spots in a government grants program. With his friend Ji-Woo (An Woo-Yeon), he receives a start-up subsidy for young entrepreneurs from the government. Do-Hyun learns that the start-up subsidy is a kind of blind money for people who start businesses and go bankrupt. Do-Hyun’s companies intentionally and repeatedly becomes insolvent and goes out of business. Do-Hyun then launches a cryptocurrency venture with hundreds of millions of won in support from Investor Kevin (Min Sung-Wook). Do-Hyun develops the MOMMY coin and achieves the highest performance ever, but he is monitored by a financial institution.
