Teaser poster and release date added for movie “Somebody” starring Kwak Sun-Young, Kwon Yuri, and Lee Seol. The psychological-thriller film is based on webcomic “Chimbeom” by Kong Se-Ri and held its world premiere at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival in October. Caption on the teaser poster states “If you do something wrong, you should be punished.”
“Somebody” is now scheduled to be released March, 2025 in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Yeong-Eun (Kwak Sun-Young) is a single mother, who lives with her 7 year old daughter So-Hyun (Ki So-Yu). She works as a swimming instructor. Her daughter So-Hyun is different from other kids. So-Hyun shows increasingly violent tendencies and Yeong-Eun struggles to stop her dangerous behavior. Yeong-Eun’s ordinary life is ruined and she has hard time to control So-Hyun.
20 years later, Min (Kwon Yuri) has lost her childhood memories. She works for a special cleaning service, who cleans the homes of people who died alone. One day, Hae-Young (Lee Seol) appears in front of her. Min feels a strange sense of anxiety by Hae-Young.
