Park Ha-Na & Park Sang-Nam are cast for lead roles in KBS1 drama series “Let’s Get Married, Maengkong” (literal title). Also cast in the weekday evening drama series are Kim Sa-Kwon, Lee Yeon-Doo, Park Tam-Hee, & Lee Eun-Hyung. The drama series, steeped in marriage themes, will follow Park Ha-Na as she plays Maeng Kong-Hee. She reunites with her childhood friend, Koo Dan-Soo played by Park Sang-Nam, at her place of work. He is the successor for that company.
“Let’s Get Married, Maengkong” first airs October, 2024 in South Korea (takes over KBS1’s Monday through Friday 8:30PM time slot after “Su-Ji and U-Ri“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Maeng Kong-Hee (Park Ha-Na) inherited her mother’s strong spirit and her father’s athletic ability. She has the drive to survive even if she was stranded on a deserted island. She has an older brother, Maeng Kong-Bu (Lee Eun-Hyung), who also has a strong personality and works as a doctor. For Meang Kong-Hee, she works as a contract designer for J-Fashion. At her workplace, she reunites with Koo Dan-Soo (Park Sang-Nam), who is her childhood friend. Koo Dan-Soo is the grandson of the chairman of J-Fashion. He was born to a wealthy father and a poor mother. With his free-spirit, Koo Dan-Soo lived in a foreign country, but, according to his grandmother’s plan to make Koo Dan-Soo the successor, he returned to Korea and reunited with his childhood friend Maeng Kong-Hee. Other people that work at J-Fashion include Marketing Team Manager Seo Min-Ki (Kim Sa-Kwon), Design Team Manager Kang Ji-Na (Lee Yeon-Doo) and Design Team Assistant Manager Eom Hong-Dan (Park Tam-Hee).
