Miki Nakatani cast in WOWOW drama “Giver Taker”

Miki Nakatani is cast in WOWOW live-action drama series “Giver Taker.” The drama series is based on manga “Life2 Giver Taker” by Keiko Suenobu. For “Giver Taker,” Miki Naktani will play ex-elementary school teacher turned detective Itsuki Kurasawa. She underwent the drastic career change after her daughter was murdered by one of her students. 12 years later, that student is now set to be released.

“Giver Taker” will air sometime next year in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Itsuki Kurasawa (Miki Nakatani) was once an elementary school teacher, but she now works as a detective. When Itsuki Kurasawa was a teacher, her daughter was brutally murdered by her 12-year-old student Ruoto. The horrific case shocked the entire nation at that time. Afterwards, Itsuki Kurasawa decided to become a detective to save people in desperate situations like she was in.

12 years after the murder case, Itsuki Kurasawa is busy solving cases as a detective. She knows that Ruoto is going to be discharged from a medical juvenile training school and she hears that Ruoto is now completely rehabilitated. As a family member of the victim, Itsuki Kurasawa can’t help having suspicions about his true nature. One day, Itsuki Kurasawa receives a message that says “I’ll take your precious thing once more.”
