Tomohisa Yamashita is cast for the lead role in Fuji TV drama series “Blue Moment.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Blue Moment” by Kana Ozawa. For drama series “Blue Moment,” Tomohisa Yamashita will play Kankuro Haruhara. He is the chief weather researcher at the Special Disaster Response Headquarters. He is able to use his vast knowledge on meteorology and process vast amounts of data to stay ahead of the curve during difficult times.
“Blue Moment” will first air April, 2024 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Wednesday 10PM time slot after “Konkatsu 1000 Knock“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Kankuro Haruhara (Tomohisa Yamashita) is a research officer at the Meteorological Research Institute. With his handsome appearance and fresh smile, he appears on the weather segment of a news program. He is also a chief at the SDM (special disaster response) Headquarters, whose purpose is to protect lives from weather disasters. While he is excellent at his work and possesses vast knowledge on meteorology, he is often resented by his colleagues at work due to making biting remarks. Because of Kankuro Haruhara’s passion and straightforward mindset on saving lives, he eventually changes how his colleagues view him. Kankuro Haruhara tries to make SDM Headquarters the best that it can it be and he also chases after a mystery.
