Main trailer for movie “My New Sassy Girl” starring Cha Tae-Hyun and Victoria from f(x). Movie is a sequel to popular 2001 romantic-comedy film “My Sassy Girl,” but sequel is directed by Jo Geun-Sik (rather than Kwak Jae-Young) and Jun Ji-Hyun is not in the sequel film as well.

Movie is setup as a crime-drama involving an attorney out to prove the innocence of an inmate, spurred by the fact the detective from that case is a rival.

Filming for upcoming time-travel film “Will You Be There?,” starring Kim Yun-Seok, Byun Yo-Han and Kim Go-Woon, began March 22, 2016. The first day of filming were for present day scenes involving Kim Yun-Seok and veteran character actor Kim Sang-Ho. Filming on March 24, 2016 then took place at a train station with Byun Yo-Han and Kim Go-Woon acting for a scene set in the past. March 24th was the first day of filming for Byun Yo-Han and Kim Go-Woon.
Movie “Will You Be There?” is based on French novel “Seras-tu là ?” by Guillaume Musso and directed by Hong Ji-Young (“The Naked Kitchen“). “Will You Be There?” will be released sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.
Filming for upcoming movie “The Last Princess” (English working title), starring Son Ye-Jin & Park Hae-Il, finished March 23, 2016. Filming took approximately 4 months to finish and filming took place in South Korea and Japan. Story for “The Last Princess” takes place in the early 20th century, while Korea is under Japan’s occupation. Son Ye-Jin plays the last princess, Princess Deokhye. After she is taken against her will to Japan, she meets up with a Korean freedom fighter played by Park Hae-Il. Actress Son Ye-Jin previously worked with movie director Hur Jin-Ho in 2005 film “April Snow.”
“The Last Princess” will be released sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.
Actor Park Hae-Jin has been offered to reprise his role from tvN drama series “Cheese in the Trap” for upcoming movie version “Cheese in the Trap.” If Park Hae-Jin accepts, he will play Yoo Jung again. Currently, Park Hae-Jin is “postively considering” the offer. Park Hae-Jin does have a condition that if he were to accept the role, he wants the original webcomic writer Soon Ggi to take part in the film. Movie version of “Cheese in the Trap” will be a joint production between South Korean and Chinese companies.
Currently, actress Kim Go-Eun, who played the lead female role in the tvN drama series version, has not been offered a role in the upcoming movie version. Seo Kang-Joon though was offered to reprise his role in the movie version two months ago and he has yet to make a final decision.
Lee Sung-Min, Cho Jin-Woong &Kim Sung-Kyun are cast in new movie “Sheriff” (literal title). In the movie “Sheriff,” Lee Sung-Min plays a former detective who considers himself the sheriff of his neighborhood. A flashy businessman played by Cho Jin-Woong then moves into the neighborhood and the ex-detective suspects he is a drug offender. Kim Sung-Kyun plays the brother-in-law of the ex-detective and his assistant in their investigation.
Filming for “Sheriff” begins this July in South Korea.

Actors Yoo Yeon-Seok, Jo Dal-Hwan, Kim Tae-Hoon and Kim Eui-Sung are all cast for cameo roles in upcoming movie “Chunmong” starring Han Ye-Ri, Yang Ik-June, Yoon Jong-Bin and Park Jung-Bum. Already cast for another cameo role in the movie is actress Shin Min-A. Movie is directed by Zhang Lu.
Filming for “Chunmong” begins next month in South Korea.
