Ji Sung and Jeon Mi-Do are cast in SBS drama series “Connection”

Ji Sung and Jeon Mi-Do are cast in SBS drama series “Connection.” The psychological crime investigation thriller is scripted by Lee Hyun (“Diary of a Prosecutor“) and directed by Kim Moon-Kyo (“Trolley“). In the drama series, Ji Sung will play Detective Jang Jae-Kyeong. He is a detective with strong convictions. Jeon Mi-Do will play Reporter Oh Yoon-Jin. She is highly opinionated and outspoken. They somehow come together to work on a case.

“Connection” first airs sometime next year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for movie “Happiness”

Teaser trailer added for movie “Happiness” starring Airu Kubozuka and Aju Makita. The film is based on novel “Happiness” by Novala Takemoto and directed by Tetsuo Shinohara (“Terminal“). First batch of supporting actors has been announced for the film and they are Ai Hashimoto, Masayoshi Yamazaki, and Yo Yoshida. Ai Hashimoto will play Yukio Kunikida’s (Airu Kubozuka) older sister Tsukiko Kunikida. Masayoshi Yamazaki and Yo Yoshida will play Yuma Yamagishi’s (Aju Makita) parents Hideo Yamagishi and Riyo Yamagishi.

“Happiness” will be released May 17, 2024 in Japan.

Main trailer for ENA drama “Like Flowers in Sand”

Main trailer added for ENA drama series “Like Flowers in Sand” starring Jang Dong-Yoon and Lee Joo-Myoung. The main trailer begins with Jang Dong-Yoon stating “I’ll retire. If I can’t become a champion this time as well, I’ll retire.” Around the 49 second mark Lee Joo-Myoung states “Do whatever you want. If you want to do it then do it and if you don’t want to do it then say you don’t want to.” The drama series revolves around the Korean wrestling sport called “ssireum,” which was also featured in 2006 movie “Like a Virgin.”

“Like Flowers in Sand” first airs December 20, 2023 in South Korea.

Main trailer and poster added for Netflix drama “Gyeongseong Creature”

Main trailer and poster added for upcoming Netflix drama series “Gyeongseong Creature” starring Park Seo-Joon and Han So-Hee. The drama series is set in 1945 and set around Ongseong Hospital. Caption on the poster states “Relationship, drama of the intense fate. Ill-fated relationship, drama of the powerful karma.” The trailer shows Jang Tae-Sang (Park Seo-Joon) who is the owner of Geumokdang, the biggest pawnshop in Gyeongseong. He goes to Yoon Chae-Ok (Han So-Hee) to help him find Police Commissioner Ishikawa’s mistress. Yoon Chae-Ok decides to work with Jang Tae-Sang, who can help her find her missing mother. They hear a rumor that patients that are sent to Ongseong Hospital never come back. 

“Gyeongseong Creature” will be available to stream December 22, 2023 and “Gyeongseong Creature Part 2” will be available to stream January 5, 2024.

Teaser trailer added for tvN drama series “Marry My Husband” starring Park Min-Young & Na In-Woo. The teaser trailer shows the relationships of its four main characters: Kang Ji-Won (Park Min-Young), Yoo Ji-Hyeok (Na In-Woo), Park Min-Hwan (Lee Yi-Kyung) and Jung Soo-Min Song Ha-Yoon). Around the 15 second mark, Park Min-Young states “Congratulations, marrying the trash I threw away.”

“Marry My Husband” first airs January 1, 2024 in South Korea.

First teaser posters and release date set for tvN drama series “Captivating The King”

First teaser posters and ep.1 air date set for tvN drama series “Captivating The King” (English title) starring Cho Jung-Seok and Shin Se-Kyung. The teaser poster reveals that episode one will air January 21, 2024 (takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9:20 PM time slot after “Maestra: Strings of Truth“). Ep.1 and ep.2 will air consecutively on Sunday, January 21, 2024 and then will fall into the regular schedule of one episode on Saturday and one episode on Sunday until its conclusion. Caption on the teaser poster states “The one who has messed up the world,  the one who has messed up the heart.”

Lim Ji-Yeon & Choo Yeong-Woo cast in JTBC drama “The Story of Lady Ok”

Lim Ji-Yeon and Choo Yeong-Woo are cast in JTBC drama series “The Story of Lady Ok” (literal title). The original screenplay by Park Ji-Sook (“Uncle“) is set during the Joseon period and will be directed by Jin Hyeok (“Sisyphus: The Myth“). In “The Story of Lady Ok,” Lim Ji-Yeon will play Ok Tae-Young, She works as a legal expert, but her identity is actually fake. Choo Yeong-Woo will play handsome storyteller Cheon Seung-Whee. He falls in love with Ok Tae-Young at first sight and helps her.

“The Story of Lady Ok” will air sometime next year in South Korea.
