Park Shin-Yang offered lead role in new drama series “Trapeze” (literal title of “Gongjoonggeune”). The drama series is based on Japanese novel “Kuchu Buranko” by Hideo Okuda, which is the winner of the 131st Naoki Prize. 2005 Fuji TV drama special “Flying Trapeze” starring Hiroshi Abe is also based on the same novel. Currently, Park Shin-Yang is “positively considering” his offer. If he accepts, he will play the main character who is a highly eccentric psychiatrist. He uses very unusual techniques to help his patients.
The drama series is targeted to air sometime during the second half of this year, but the exact date or network has yet to be announced.
