First teaser trailer added for movie “The Assassin(s)” starring Yu Hae-Jin, Park Hae-Il, and Lee Min-Ho. Movie is a political thriller set in 1974, revolving around a detective, newspaper editor, and a rookie reporter in the aftermath a presidential assassination attempt. Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: On August 15, 1974, gunshots are fired while the South Korean president gives a speech during the 29th Liberation Day ceremony. The gunfire was an attempt to assassinate the president, but the First Lady is shot and later dies. An investigation takes place involving Senior Inspector (Yu Hae-Jin) of the Central Police Station, the head (Park Hae-Il) of newspaper’s social affairs department, and rookie reporter (Lee Min-Ho) of social affairs department. The senior inspector, with keen intuition and tenacity, and the passionate rookie reporter witnessed firsthand the assassination attempt. The head of the newspaper’s social affairs department digs up many unanswered questions surrounding the investigation of the incident, despite the danger and pressure around him.
