Teaser trailer added for Netflix drama series “Plastic Beauty” starring Mayu Matsuoka and Riisa Naka. Drama series features an original screenplay by Junya Ikegami (“The Queen of Villains“) and directed by Yuki Saito (“Unmet“). Story for “Plastic Beauty” follows two female doctors who work in the field of cosmetic surgery, but have differing ethical views of their field. The teaser trailer starts off with narration that states “Recovery time is the crucial period when a chrysalis breaks out of its cocoon and becomes a butterfly.” Meanwhile, 23 additional supporting character actors has been announced for the drama series.
“Plastic Beauty” will be available to stream from September 17, 2026.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Fumi Numata (Mayu Matsuoka) is a surgeon in the plastic and reconstructive surgery field. She is gifted as a surgeon and focuses on saving lives, but, due to circumstances, she has to switch to cosmetic surgery. That places her at odds with Rin Tohyama (Riisa Naka), who is a famous cosmetic surgeon. Rin Tohyama believes in saving lives by achieving beauty.
