Cho Yi-Hyun and Choo Yeong-Woo are cast in tvN drama series “Gyeon-Woo and the Fairy” (literal title). The teen-romance drama series is based on popular webcomic “Gyeonwoowa Sunnyeo” by An Soo-Min and directed by Kim Yong-Wan (“The Whirlwind“). Lead actress Cho Yi-Hyun will play high school student Park Sung-A, who also works as a popular fortune teller at night. Choo Yeong-Woo will play high school student Bae Gyeon-Woo. His destiny crosses paths with Park Sung-A.
“Gyeon-Woo and the Fairy” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Park Sung-A (Cho Yi-Hyun) is a high school student, but, at night, she is a shaman named Fairy Cheonji. When she works as a shaman, she covers her face partially to hide her identity. She is famous as Fairy Cheonji and she is busy working with her clients who come to ask about their future, fortune, illnesses, and other things. One night, Bae Gyeon-Woo (Choo Yeong-Woo) and his mother come to visit Fairy Cheonji. Park Sung-A has a crush on him at first sight, but she sees that he is destined to die soon. The next day, Bae Gyeon-Woo appears in front of her as a new transfer student in her class. She decides to save him from his destiny.
