Kim Go-Eun, Park Ji-Hyun, & Kim Gun-Woo are cast in Netflix drama series “Two Women” (working title). Drama series is scripted by Song Hye-Jin (“Hundred Million Stars From the Sky“) and directed by Jo Young-Min (“Do You Like Brahms?“). Kim Go-Eun and Park Ji-Hyun will play main characters Ryu Eun-Joong and Cheon Sang-Yeon. The two main characters are 42-years-old and they have been best friends and rivals since their elementary school days. The story will follow their friendship over the years and then to the present day when they face Cheon Sang-Yeon’s cancer diagnosis.
Release date for “Two Women” has not yet been announced.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Ryu Eun-Joong (Kim Go-Eun) seems like a normal woman, but she has candour in her personality that attracts people. Her best friend and life long rival is Cheon Sang-Yeon (Park Ji-Hyun). They first met during their elementary school days. Cheon Sang-Yeon came from a wealthy family background and she is a talented person. Ryu Eun-Joong was jealous of her, but they became best friends who sometimes hated each other the most. During their teens, 20’s, and 30’s, they would lose contact with each other and reconnect multiple times. Now, they are 42 years old. Ryu Eun-Joong works as a drama series writer and Cheon Sang-Yeon works as a successful movie producer. One day, Cheon Sang-Yeon suddenly appears in front of Ryu Eun-Joong.
