Jeon So-Nee, Koo Gyo-Hwan, & Lee Jung-Hyun are cast in Netflix drama series “Parasyte: The Grey” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Kiseiju” by Hitoshi Iwaaki, which was previously adapte into 2014 movie “Parasyte Part 1” and 2015 sequel film “Parasyte Part 2.” The Netflix drama series adaptation will be directed and scripted by Yeon Sang-Ho (“Train To Busan“). Premise for the drama series centers around mysterious parasites that fall from the sky and enter humans through their ears and noses. They then take over the humans.
“Parasyte: The Grey” will be available to stream sometime next year from Netflix.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: One day, mysterious parasites fall from the sky. They enter humans as their hosts and also murder other humans. The parasites begin to create their own force. Humans must now fight to stop the invading creatures from taking over the world.
Jung Soo-In (Jeon So-Nee) is penetrated by a parasite, but the parasite fails to take over her brain. Jung Soo-In and the parasite begin to live together.
Seol Gang-Woo (Koo Gyo-Hwan) chases after parasites to find his missing younger sister.
Choi Joon-Kyung (Lee Jung-Hyun) is the chief of the parasite task force. She lost her husband to the parasites and her life goal is to eradicate them.
