Supporting cast announced for movie “What Is Love”

5 supporting cast members have been announced for upcoming movie “What Is Love” (literal title) starring Yukino Kishii and Ryo Narita. The newly announced supporting cast members are Mai Fukagawa (former member of ‘Nogizaka46’), Ryuya Wakaba, Reiko Kataoka, Mariko Tsutsui and Noriko Eguchi. The film is based on 2003 novel “Ai ga Nanda” by Mitsuyo Kakuta and directed by Rikiya Imaizumi.

For the supporting characters, Mai Fukagawa will play Yoko. She is friends with lead female character Teruko (Yukino Kishii). Ryuya Wakaba will play Nakamura. He understands Teruko well and likes Yoko. Reiko Kataoka will play the boss of Teruko. Mariko Tsutsui will play Yoko’s mother and Noriko Eguchi will play Sumire.

“What Is Love” is now targeted for release sometime during spring, 2019 in Japan.

Yukino Kishii and Ryo Narita cast in movie “What is Love”

Yukino Kishii and Ryo Narita are cast in movie “What is Love” (literal title). The film is based on 2003 novel “Ai ga Nanda” by Mitsuyo Kakuta. Other novels by Mitsuyo Kakuta that have been adapted into films include “Hanging Garden,” “Rebirth” and “Pale Moon.”Rikiya Imaizumi will direct the film. Story for “What is Love” follows a woman who has fallen completely in love with a man who does not feel the same way about her.

“What is Love” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Ryunosuke Kamiki cast in NHK drama series “School Lawyer”

Ryunosuke Kamiki is cast for the lead role in new NHK drama series “School Lawyer” (Yakeni Ben no Tatsu Bengoshi ga Gakko de Hoeru). In addition, Seiichi Tanabe, Yukino Kishii, Mari Hamada, Daikichi Sugawara, Kazuki Kosakai and Kaho Minami are cast in supporting roles for the drama series. For “School Lawyer,” Ryunosuke Kamiki will play rookie lawyer Shotaro Taguchi. His law office sends him to work at a middle school following a new school lawyer system. He then finds himself in the middle of a corporal punishment case.

“School Lawyer” first airs April 21, 2018 in Japan.

Kaho, Shota Sometani & Masahiro Higashide cast in WOWOW drama series “Yocho Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha”

Kaho, Shota Sometani & Masahiro Higashide are cast in WOWOW drama series “Yocho Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha.” The drama series is based on the play “Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha” by Tomohiro Maekawa and is also a spin-off of movie “Before We Vanish.” Award winning director Kiyoshi Kurosawa will direct the drama series as he also directed the movie “Before We Vanish.” The main characters in “Yocho Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha” are different from “Before We Vanish,” but the story for the drama series will deal with aliens that invade the bodies of humans.

“Yocho Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha” first airs September 18, 2017 in Japan.
