First script reading & air date set for KBS2 drama “The Speed Going to You 493km”

The first script reading for KBS2 drama series “The Speed Going to You 493km” (literal title), starring Park Ju-Hyun, Chae Jong-Hyeop, & Park Ji-Hyun, took place October, 2021 at KBS Annex Builing in Yeouido, Seoul. Attending the first script reading were main cast members Park Ju-Hyun, Chae Jong-Hyeop, Park Ji-Hyun, Kim Mu-Jun, Seo Ji-Hye, Jeon Bae-Su, Jo Han-Chul, In Gyo-Jin, Lee Seo-Hwan, Lee Ji-Hyun, Sung Ki-Yoon, Choi Seung-Yoon, Jo Soo-Hyang, Moon Dong-Hyeok, Kwon So-Hyun, Bin Chan-Uk, Jeon Hye-Won, Lee Chae-Min, Director Jo Woong, and Screenwriter Heo Sung-Hye. The drama series features a “sports-romance” script involving Park Tae-Yang (Park Ju-Hyun) and Park Tae-Joon (Chae Jong-Hyeop). They are both badminton athletes, but their approach to the sport is completely opposite.

“The Speed Going to You 493km” is now set to first air April, 2022 in South Korea (will slot into KBS2’s Wednesday & Thursday 9:30 PM time slot that was previously occupied by “School 2021“).

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Park Tae-Yang (Park Ju-Hyun) was a promising badminton athlete. Due to an incident, she left the sport of badminton. 3 year later, she decides to join the badminton team Eunice. Her life once revolved entirely around badminton and now she returns to the sport that she dreamed of playing.

Park Tae-Joon (Chae Jong-Hyeop) is a badminton player. He views the sport as nothing but a job to him. He gets cut by the city hall team and signs with team Eunice. There, Park Tae-Joon meets Park Tae-Yang.
