Lee Jong-Suk and Han Hyo-Joo have been offered the leading roles in upcoming MBC drama series “W.” The drama series will be directed by Jung Dae-Yoon (“The King 2hearts“) and written by Song Jae-Jung (“Coffee House“). Both Lee Jong-Suk and Han Hyo-Joo are in discussion with the production company over their roles. The drama series has a high probability to air sometime this July in South Korea.
In the drama series, Park Shin-Yang will play Jo Deul-Ho. His character works as a prosecutor and he becomes involved in a political scandal. The scandal leads to him getting fired from his job. He then becomes a neighborhood lawyer. Kang So-Ra will play Lee Eun-Zo. Her character is a daring elite lawyer. In addition to the two leads, Kim Dong-Joon from boy band “ZE:A” is also cast. In the drama series, he will play Kim Yoo-Shin.
“Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul-Ho” will first air March 21, 2016 in South Korea.
Siwan from ZE:A, Seo Kang-Joon, Cho Jin-Woong and Lee Kwang-Soo have been offered leading roles in new tvN drama series “Entourage.” All four of the actors are currently “positively considering” their offers. The drama series is a remake of U.S. drama series “Entourage” which aired on HBO from 2004-2011.
If they accept their offers, Siwan will play Lee Ho-Jin. His character is the friend and manager of Cha Young-Bin played by Seo Kang-Joon. Cha Young-Bin is a top actor. Cho Jin-Woong would play Kim Eun-Gab. His character is the CEO of an entertainment company which Cha Young-Bin works with. Lee Kwang-Soo would play Cha Joon. His character is a cousin of Cha Young-Bin and works as a supporting actor.
“Entourage” will first air sometime June, 2016 in South Korea.
Actress Lee Soo-Kyung is cast for the lead female role in upcoming MBC drama series “My Little Baby.” Actor Oh Ji-Ho has been already cast for the lead male role. In addition, Kim Min-Jae and Nam Ji-Hyun from idol group “4minute” are cast in supporting roles for the drama series. The drama series follows a detective (Oh Ji-Ho) from a special investigation unit as he begins to take care of his niece. Meanwhile, Lee Soo-Kyung will play Han Ye-Seul. Her character is the first love of the detective and she also a single mother of a 5-year-old.
“My Little Baby” first airs this March in South Korea.
Masaharu Fukuyama is cast in upcoming Fuji TV drama series “Love Song.” It’s his first drama series starring role since 2013 Fuji TV drama series “Galileo 2.” In the drama series “Love Song,” Masaharu Fukuyama plays Kohei Kamishiro. His character was a musician, but after having only 1 hit song was dropped by his recording label. He then gave up on music. Twenty years later, he meets a woman with a beautiful voice who inspires him to make music once again.
“Love Song” first airs April, 2016 in Japan.
Yuto Nakajima from boy band ‘Hey! Say! JUMP’ and Yuko Araki are cast for the lead roles in upcoming movie “Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru.” The movie is based on 2012 novel “Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru” by Maiko Seo and directed by Masahide Ichii (“Blindly in Love“). Story for the film follows a 7 year period (from their first date to marriage) for a young couple in love. Filming for “Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru” began at the end of January, 2016 in Thailand and is scheduled to finish by the end of February, 2016.
“Bokura no Gohan wa Ashita de Matteru” will be released sometime in spring, 2017 in Japan.
First script reading for upcoming MBC drama series “Marriage Contract” (literal title) took place January 20, 2016 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. At the script reading, main cast members including Lee Seo-Jin, Uee from K-pop group ‘After School,’ Kim Kwang-Kyu, Kim Yoo-Ri were in attendance. The drama series was previously known as “100 Days Wife” (“100Ilui Anae”) before picking up the title of “Marriage Contract” (“Gyeolheun Gyeyak”).

Teaser posters and teaser trailer added for upcoming horrors films “Dorome: Danshihen” & “Dorome: Joshihen” starring Aoi Morikawa, Yuta Koseki, Tatsuya Nakayama & Toko Miura. Both films are directed by Eisuke Naito (“Litchi Hikari Club“). Premise for the film takes place at a training camp for drama clubs from an all boys and an all girls high school. The two schools are set to merge in the coming year. At the training camp, the students witness horrific events and soon learn that “Dorome” is responsible.
“Dorome: Danshihen” & “Dorome: Joshihen” will have its world premiere at this year’s Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival (February 25-29, 2016) and then have its general release March 26, 2016 in Japan.
