Actor Hayato Ichihara is cast in upcoming WOWOW drama special “Futabasou no Yujin.” Also cast in the drama special are Asami Usuda, Tomoya Nakamura, Hana Hizuki, Takeo Nakahara & Kazuko Yoshiyuki. Premise for the drama series has Masaharu Kawamura (Hayato Ichihara) & Mie Kawamura (Asami Usuda) moving to a terrace house. Masaharu Kawamura begins a new career as a writer. He then sees a ghost in his house and becomes friendly with the ghost. Masaharu Kawamura then learns of a past incident that place in the home.

Teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “Missing You” (English title) starring Shim Eun-Kyung, Yoon Je-Moon & Kim Sung-Oh. Movie is directed by Mo Hong-Jin (screenwriter for 2007 film “Our Town“). Still image above is the first of actress Shim Eun-Kyung in the film. Story for the film has Shim Eun-Kyung playing a young woman whose father was killed by a serial killer 15 years earlier. She has waited for his release from prison since then.

First script reading took place recently for upcoming SBS drama series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” (literal title) starring Lee Joon-Gi, IU, Kang Ha-Neul. The first script featured main cast members also including Hong Jong-Hyun, Baekhyun (EXO-K), Nam Joo-Hyuk, Ji Soo, Kim San-Ho & Yoon Sun-Woo.
“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” is based on Chinese novel “Bu Bu Jing Xin” by Tong Hua and follows 2011 HBS drama series “Scarlet Heart” which is also based on the same novel. Early working title for the drama series was”Dalui Yeonin” (“Moon Lovers”), but changed to “Bobogyungsim: Ryeo” (“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo”).
“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” first airs sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

Movie is based on manga “Litchi☆Hikari Club” by Usamaru Furuya and Eisuke Naito (“Let’s Make the Teacher Have a Miscarriage Club“). Story for the film is set sometime in the future in town over run by industrialization. Teenage boys from the area form the Hikari Club to eradicate the evils of the grown up world. They then create an AI machine named “Litchi.”

Movie is based on manga series “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi” by Kei Sanbe and directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa (“Until The Break Of Dawn“). Premise for the film has Tatsuya Fujiwara’s character of Satoru Fujinuma having the special ability of revival. His special ability allows him to go back in time and prevent terrible events from occurring. He goes back in time to find a serial killer and save his mother.

In drama series “Five Enough,” Ahn Jae-Wook plays Lee Sang-Tae. His character is a single father who has raised 2 children since the death of his wife.

Actors Hwang Jung-Min, So Ji-Sub & Song Joong-Ki are cast in new movie “Battleship Island” (literal title) directed by Ryoo Seung-Wan (“Veteran“). Story for “Battleship Island” is set in the early 20th century, when South Korea is under Japanese occupation. Some 400 Koreans are forced onto Battleship Island to mine for coal. The official name of Battleship Island is Hashima Island and the island picked up the nickname of Battleship Island due to its shape resembling a battelship. Hwang Jung-Min plays Lee Kang-Ok. His character was deceived into going to Battleship Island. He has a daughter which he does anything to protect. So Ji-Sub plays Choi Chil-Sung. His character is a top fighter. He makes trouble on Battleship Island. Song Jong-Ki plays Park Moo-Young. His character belongs to the Korean Independence group. He attempts to rescue a fellow member on Battleship Island.
“Battleship Island” will be released sometime in 2017 in South Korea.
