Kim Myung-Min & Byun Yo-Han are cast in new movie “A Day” (literal title). The two actors previously worked together in 2015 SBS drama series “Six Flying Dragons.” In the film “A Day,” Kim Myung-Min plays a famous surgeon. His character sees his daughter in front of him in an accident. Afterwards, that same day repeats itself and Kim Myung-Min’s character attempts to uncover the truth with the help of an ambulance driver played by Byun Yo-Han.
Filming for “A Day” began June 29, 2016 in Incheon, South Korea.
Ep.1 trailer for SBS drama series “Second To Last Love” starring Ji Jin-Hee & Kim Hee-Ae. Drama series is a remake of 2012 Fuji TV drama series “Second To Last Love” (“Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi”).

Sota Fukushi is cast in upcoming live-action film “Laughing Under the Clouds.” The live-action film is based on manga series “Donten ni Warau” by Karakara-Kemuri and will be directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro (“Bayside Shakedown“). In the film, Sota Fukushi will play Tenka Kumo. His character is one of three brothers who go up against the giant snake Orochi.
Filming for the movie begins June 18, 2016 and will finish by middle of August, 2016. “Laughing Under the Clouds” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

As you might have noticed, the drama series has also picked up the new Korean title of “Dalui Yeonin – Bobogyungsim Ryeo” which translates literally as “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.” The 8 character posters are of (left to right) Hong Jong-Hyun, Lee Joon-Gi, IU, Kang Ha-Neul, Ji Soo, Baekhyun (‘EXO-K’), Nam Joo-Hyuk and Yoon Sun-Woo.

Lee Ha-Na is cast for the lead female role in upcoming SBS drama series “Our Gab-Soon” co-starring Song Jae-Rim. Also cast in a major supporting character role is Kim Gyu-Ri. In drama series “Our Gab-Soon,” Lee Ha-Na will play title character Gab-Soon.
The first script reading for “Our Gab-Soon” is scheduled to take place July 2, 2016 and the drama series will first air sometime this August in South Korea.
Hideaki Takizawa (‘Tackey & Tsubasa’), Arioka Daiki (‘Hey! Say! JUMP’) & Mugi Kadowaki are cast in new movie “Kodomo Tsukai.” For Hideaki Takizawa, this will be his first lead acting role in a movie. Movie is written and directed by Takashi Shimizu (“Ju-on“/”Kiki’s Delivery Service“).
In the movie Hideaki Takizawa will play a mysterious man. His character manipulates children’s spirits and places curses on adults. Arioka Daiki will play newspaper reporter Shunya Ezaki. His character investigates the rumors of missing children and adults around the missing children dying. Mugi Kadowaki will play the girlfriend of newspaper reporter Shunya Ezaki.
“Kodomo Tsukai” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Nam Joo-Hyuk has been offered the lead male role in upcoming MBC drama series “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo.” Actress Lee Sung-Kyung has already been offered the lead female role in the drama series. Both performers are currently “positively considering” their offers.
If Nam Joo-Hyuk accepts, he will play Jung Joon-Hyung. His character is an excellent, but unlucky swimmer. Jung Joon-Hyung and weightlifter Bok-Joo (Lee Sung-Kyung if she accepts) graduated from the same school. Interesting to note, Nam Joo-Hyuk’s character in KBS2 drama series “Who Are You: School 2015” was also a swimmer.
“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” will first air this November in South Korea.
Shun Oguri is cast in upcoming live-action film “Gintama.” The movie is based on manga series “Gintama” by Hideaki Sorachi and directed by Yuichi Fukuda (“HK: Forbidden Super Hero“/”Jossy’s“). Story for the film is set in alternate universe, set around the Edo period, with aliens attacking Earth. Shun Oguri will play samurai Gintoki Sakata. Filming for “Gintama” begins this July and the movie will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Lee Sung-Kyung has been offered the lead female role in upcoming MBC drama series “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo.” Currently, she is “positively considering” the offer. The drama series is motivated by the true story of weightlifter Jang Mi-Ran. If Lee Sung-Kyung accepts her offer, she will play title character Kim Bok-Joo. Her character is a 20-year-old weightlifter and falls in love for the first time.
“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” will first air November, 2016 in South Korea (taking over MBC’s Wednesday & Thursdays 10PM time slot after the conclusion of “Shopping King Louie“).
