Kim Sae-Ron is now cast in JTBC drama series “Mirror of the Witch” co-starring Yoon Si-Yoon. In the drama series, Kim Sae-Ron will play Princess Seo-Ri. Her character is abandoned in the mountains by her mother Queen Sim after a curse is place on her. There in the mountains, she meets Heo Jun (Yoon Si-Yoon). Heo Jun is an illegitimate child, which rules out becoming a government officer. Seo-Ri and Heo Jun fall in love.
“Mirror of the Witch” first airs this May in South Korea.
Nao Matsushita is cast in upcoming live-action Fuji TV drama series “Hayako Sensei, Kekkon Surutte Honto Desu Ka?” The drama series is based on the true story manga series of same name by Hayako Tatsuki.
In the “Hayako Sensei, Kekkon Surutte Honto Desu Ka?,” Nao Matsushita plays title character Hayako Tatsuki. Her character is a single 34-years-old woman who works as an elementary school teacher. She lives with her parents and is generally content with her life. After her father is hospitalized, she thinks about her parents relationship and begins to find a marriage partner for herself in earnest.
Cast in supporting roles for the drama series are Shihori Kanjiya, Hitomi Sato, Norito Yashima, Takaya Yamauchi, Isao Bito & Keiko Matsuzaka. “Hayako Sensei, Kekkon Surutte Honto Desu Ka?” will first air this April in Japan.
Kim Sae-Ron has been offered the lead female role in upcoming JTBC drama series “Mirror of the Witch” co-starring Yoon Si-Yoon. Currently, Kim Sae-Ron is in the final stages of contract negotiations to take the part. Actor Kwak Si-Yang has also been offered a major supporting role in the drama series.
If Kim Sae-Ron is cast for the drama series, she will play Seo-Ri. Her character was born as a princess, but became a witch. She has a special ability, but is unable to control her special ability. This leads people to call her a witch. Seo-Ri tries to lift the curse.
Story for the drama series is inspired by the book “Dongui Bogam” written by royal physician Heo Jun.
Masaki Suda & Nana Komatsu are cast in live-action film “Oboreru Knife.” Also cast in supporting roles are Daiki Shigeoka (‘Johnny’s WEST’) and Mone Kamishiraishi. Movie is based on manga series “Oboreru Knife” by George Asakura (“Piece of Cake“) and directed by Yuki Yamato (“Itsutsu Kazoereba Kimi no Yume“).
In live-action film “Oboreru Knife,” Nana Komatsu plays Natsume Mochizuki. Her character is a teen model in Tokyo, but she has to move a small rural town with her family. There, she meets Koichiro Hasegawa (Masaki Suda). His character comes from a wealthy and well respected family.
“Oboreru Knife” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.

“Hero Mania: Life” will be released May 7, 2016 in Japan.
Park Hae-Jin has been offered a lead role in upcoming JTBC drama series “Man to Man.” The drama series will follow a popular actor and his bodyguard.
If Park Hae-Jin accepts his offer, he will play the bodyguard who has special investigation rights. Currently, Park Hae-Jin is considering the offer. Exact air date has yet to be determined.
Actress Mariya Nishiuchi is cast in upcoming live-action film “Cutie Honey: Tears.” Movie is based on manga series”Cutie Honey” by Go Nagai and will be directed by A.T.
Mariya Nishiuchi will play main character Honey Kisaragi aka Cutie Honey. Her character is android possessing human emotions. She goes up against an evil organization that threatens mankind.
Filming for “Cutie Honey: Tears” finished December, 2015 and the film will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.
Park Bo-Gum is cast in new KBS2 drama series “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” (literal title). The drama series is based webnovel “Gooreumi Geurin Dalbit” written by Yoon Yi-Soo.
In the drama series, Park Bo-Gum will play the lead male character Crown Prince Hyomyeong. His character meets Hong Ra-On who is a woman disguised as a man. They are unaware that the other person is a Crown Prince and a woman. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince’s eunuch attempts to get Hong Ra-On to become an eunuch.
“Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” first airs sometime this summer in South Korea.
Atsuko Maeda (ex-AKB48 member) is cast in upcoming TBS drama series “Busujima Yuriko no Sekirara Nikki” (literally “Yuriko Busujima’s Naked Diary”). Also cast in supporting roles are Hirofumi Arai, Daichi Watanabe, Shizuka Nakamura, Masayasu Yagi & Goki Maeda.
In drama series “Busujima Yuriko no Sekirara Nikki,” Atsuko Maeda plays Yuriko Busujima. Her character holds a deep mistrust of men and because of this she always dates two guys at the same time. This is because if one guy betrays her, she will have the other guy to fall back on. She works as a reporter and is assigned to follow a well known politician. She soon realizes that politics is a lot like love.
“Busujima Yuriko no Sekirara Nikki” first airs April 20, 2016 in Japan.
Yuko Oshima (ex-AKB48 member) is cast in currently airing NHK asadora “Sunshiny Asa.” The drama series stars Haru, Aoi Miyazaki and Hiroshi Tamaki.
For Yuko Oshima, this will be her first time appearing in a morning drama series. She will play Raicho Hiratsuka in the drama series. Her character attempts to raise the social status of women.
Yuko Oshima will appear in episodes 150, 152 and 153 which corresponds to March 26th, 29th and 30th, 2016.
