Kim Rae-Won offered lead male role in SBS drama series “Doctors”

Kim Rae-Won has been offered the lead male role in upcoming SBS drama series “Doctors” (working title). Earlier working title was “Female Gangster Hye-Jung.” Actress Park Shin-Hye was already offered the lead female role and she is still “positively considering” the offer. Meanwhile, actressLee Sung-Kyung has been offered a major supporting character role in the drama and she is currently considering the offer as well.

If Kim Rae-Won accepts the lead male role, he will play Hong Ji-Hong.His character is a neurosurgeon. He is smart, bright and highly social.

“Doctors” will first air June 20, 2016 in South Korea (takes over Monday & Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Jackpot“).

Ryo Ryusei & Rio Uchida cast in sequel film “Bros. Max Man”

Ryo Ryusei & Rio Uchida are cast in sequel film “Bros. Max Man.” Movie follows 2015 film “Mr. Max Man” which starred Yudai Chiba and Mizuki Yamamoto.

In movie “Bros. Max Man,” Ryo Rusei plays Hideo Taniguchi. His character is the younger brother of Masayoshi Taniguchi (Yudai Chiba) from the first film. Hideo Taniguchi works at the same broadcasting station as his brother and has a crush on co-worker Rina Igarashi (Rio Uchida). Hideo Taniguchi also turns into a hero and fights for justice.

Haruka Shimazaki cast in NTV drama series “Yutori Desu ga Nani ka”

Haruka Shimazaki (AKB48) is cast in upcoming NTV drama series “Yutori Desu ga Nani ka” starring Masaki Okada, Tori Matsuzaka, Yuya Yagira, Sakura Ando and Taiga.

In drama series “Yutori Desu ga Nani ka,” Haruka Shimazaki will play Yutori Sakama. Her character is the younger sister of Masakazu Sakama (Masaki Okada). Yutori Sakama is also an university student and looking for a job.

“Yutori Desu ga Nani ka” first airs April 17, 2016 in Japan.

Teaser posters and release date for movie “Goksung”

Here’s three teaser posters for upcoming movie “Goksung” starring Kwak Do-Won, Hwang Jung-Min & Chun Woo-Hee. Movie is the third film directed by Na Hong-Jin (“The Chaser“/”The Yellow Sea“).

Story for the film takes place in a small town. A stranger played by Chun Woo-Hee comes to the area and mysterious deaths soon take place. A police officer’s (Kwak Do-Won) daughter becomes sick with the same mysterious ailments as the prior deaths and a shaman (Hwang Jung-Min) is called in.

In addition, release date for “Goksung” is now set for May 12, 2016 in South Korea.

Sairi Itoh & Taishi Nakagawa are cast in upcoming movie “My Nickname is Butatchi.” Movie is based on novel “Watashi no Adana wa Butatchi” by Anna and directed by Ken Iizuka (“Arakawa Under the Bridge“). Story for the film revolves around two high school students who have been friends since their childhood days. The boy nicknamed the girl “Butatchi” as a young child.

“My Nickname is Butatchi” will be released July 2, 2016 in Japan.

Kong Seung-Yeon cast in KBS2 drama series “Master: God of Noodles”

Actress Kong Seung-Yeon is cast in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Master: God of Noodles” also starring Chun Jung-Myung, Cho Jae-Hyun & Jung Yoo-Mi. Kong Seung-Yeon is currently appearing in SBS drama series “Six Flying Dragons” along with “Master: God of Noodles” co-star Jung Yoo-Mi.

In drama series “Master: God of Noodles,” Kong Seung-Yeon will play Kim Da-Hae. Her character has a bright personality and acts like a boy. She has an absolute sense of smell.
