Lee Jong-Hyun and Kong Seung-Yeon cast in drama series “My Only Love Song”

Lee Jong-Hyun (‘CNBLUE’) and Kong Seung-Yeon are cast in new drama series “My Only Love Song.” Lee Jong-Hyun and Kong Seung-Yeon previously appeared together in MBC TV show “We Got Married.”

Storyline for “My Only Love Song” has Kong Seung-Yeon playing an arrogant and superficial celebrity. She somehow goes through a time slip and ends up in the Joseon era. There, she meets a man played by Lee Jong-Hyun who seems to care only about money, but is very generous to the poor.

Exact network and airing time has yet to be determined, but the drama series is tentatively slated to begin airing this February in South Korea.

Han Suk-Kyu, Seo Hyun-Jin and Yoo Yeon-Seok cast in SBS drama series “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim”

Han Suk-Kyu, Seo Hyun-Jin and Yoo Yeon-Seok are now cast in upcoming SBS drama series “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim.”

For the drama series, Han Suk-Kyu will player title character Teacher Kim. He is a talented surgeon who once carried the nickname of “God’s Hand.” Seo Hyun-Jin will play Yoon Seo-Jung. She is a passionate surgeon. Meanwhile, Yoo Yeon-Seok will play surgeon Kang Dong-Joo.

In addition, Lim Won-Hee, Jin Kyung and Kim Min-Jae are cast in supporting roles for the drama series.

“Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim” will first air this November in South Korea (will take over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after”Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo“).

Tsuyoshi Domoto cast in live-action film “Gintama”

Tsuyoshi Domoto (‘KinKi Kids’) cast in upcoming live-action film “Gintama” starring Shun Oguri. Also, newly announced supporting actors now include Hirofumi Arai, Jiro Sato, Nanao, Ken Yasuda & Akari Hayami.

For Tsuyoshi Domoto, movie “Gintama” will mark his first movie acting role since 2005 film “Fantastipo.” In live-action film “Gintama,” Tsuyoshi Domoto will play Shinsuke Takasugi. His character is a master of kenjutsu and Gintoki Sakata’s (Shun Oguri) rival. He leads Kiheitai which is a radical armed group that aspires to expel  foreigners. For the intense battle scenes between Gintoki Sakata (Shun Oguri) and the Kiheitai group, an action directing team from South Korea was invited on Shun Oguri’s suggestion.

“Gintama” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Lee Yo-Won cast in MBC drama series “Night Light”

Lee Yo-Won is now cast in upcoming MBC drama series “Night Light.” Currently, Jin Goo and Uee are weighing offers to play lead roles in the drama series.

For drama series “Night Light,” Lee Yo-Won will play Seo Yi-Kyung. Her character is scripted as a cold-blooded businesswoman with wealth and determination.

“Night Light” first airs this November in South Korea.

Bae Doo-Na offered lead role in OCN drama series “The Voice”

Bae Doo-Na offered lead role in new OCN drama series “The Voice.” Currently, Bae Doo-Na is “positively considering” the offer. The drama series will be set at a 112 call center. The 112 call centers in South Korea handle crime related emergency phone calls. If Bae Doo-Na takes the offer she will play main character Kang Kwon-Joo. Kang Kwon-Joo graduated with top marks at a police university and works as a call team leader.

“The Voice” will premiere later this year or early next year in South Korea.

Kim Tae-Ri cast in movie “Little Forest”

Actress Kim Tae-Ri is cast in movie “Little Forest” directed by Yim Soonrye.

“Little Forest” is based on the manga series of the same name by Daisuke Igarashi which was previously adapted into 2 part film “Little Forest: Summer & Autumn” and “Little Forest: Winter & Spring” starring Ai Hashimoto. Premise for the film has Kim Tae-Ri playing main character Hye-Won. She leaves the big city and moves back to her hometown in the countryside. There, she reconnects with her environment.

“Little Forest” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Tao Tsuchiya, Ryota Katayose and Yudai Chiba are cast in live-action film “Ani ni Ai Saresugite Komattemasu”

Tao Tsuchiya, Ryota Katayose (‘GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE’) and Yudai Chiba are all cast in live-action film “Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu” (literally “I Have Difficulty to Be Loved Too Much by Older Brother”). Movie is based on manga series of same name by Rina Yagami and the movie will be directed by Hayato Kawai.

Story for “Ani ni Ai Saresugite Komattemasu” follows the relationship between teenage brother and sisters played by Tao Tsuchiya & Ryota Katayose. The older brother likes his sister a lot, but also holds a secret about them. The secret is that they are not blood related. Meanwhile, the first love (Yudai Chiba) of the sister comes into the picture.

“Ani ni Ai Saresugite Komattemasu” will be released sometime next summer in Japan.
