Trailer and main poster added for upcoming romantic-comedy film “Like for Likes” starring Lee Mi-Yeon, Yoo Ah-In, Kim Ju-Hyeok, Choi Ji-Woo, Kang Ha-Neul & Esom. Movie is directed by Park Hyun-Jin (“Lovers of Six Years“).
“Like for Likes” will be released February 18, 2016 in South Korea.
Trailer added for upcoming comedy live-action film “Chinyuki” starring Kenichi Matsuyama. Movie is based on manga “Chinyuki – Taro to Yukaina Nakama tachi” by Gataro Man (which is a parody of Chinese novel “Journey to the West”) and directed by Yudai Yamaguchi (“Deadball“).
“Chinyuki” will be released February 27, 2016 in Japan.
Trailer added for upcoming sci-fi film “The Sun” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki & Mugi Kadowaki. Movie is based on the play “Taiyo” by Tomohiro Maekawa and directed by Yu Irie (“8000 Miles“). Story for the film is set at a time where two types of humans have survived a biological terror. The first group are “Noksu” who survived the virus and carry an antibody and “Kyurio” who never got the virus. “The Sun” will open April 23, 2016 in Japan.
Actor Kim Min-Jun is set to make a special appearance in currently airing MBC drama series “One More Happy Ending” starring Jang Na-Ra & Jung Kyoung-Ho. Kim Min-Jun will appear in ep.3 which airs today, January 27, 2016. In the drama series, Kim Min-Jun’s character will become involved with Go Dong-Mi (Yoo In-Na) who desperately wants to meet somebody and marry.
First script reading for MBC drama series “Goodbye Mr. Black” starring Moon Chae-Won & Lee Jin-Wook took place January 9, 2016 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. At the first script reading main cast members Lee Jin-Wook, Moon Chae-Won, Kim Kang-Woo, Yu In-Young & Song Jae-Rim were in attendance.
In drama series “Goodbye Mr. Black,” Lee Jin-Wook plays Cha Ji-Won (Mr. Black). He is an officer of the Korean Navy UDT (Underwater Demolition Team). His character is a positive and good person, but he is betrayed by his so called friend Min Sun-Jae (Kim Kang-Woo) and wants to take revenge on him.
Moon Chae-Won plays Swan. Her character was dumped at a landfill area in Thailand at a young age and she now makes a living at traditional market.
“Goodbye Mr. Black” first airs March 16, 2016 in South Korea.
Teaser trailer and poster added for upcoming movie “Tantei Mitarai no Jikenbo Seiro no Umi” starring Hiroshi Tamaki & Alice Hirose. Movie is based on novel “Seiro no Umi” by Soji Shimada and directed by Seiji Izumi (“Aibou“). The title of the film originally followed the novel with “Seiro no Umi Tantei Mitarai no Jikenbo” but then changed to “Tantei Mitarai no Jikenbo Seiro no Umi.” The poster reveals that the movie is set for release June 4, 2016 in Japan.
KBS2 drama series “Moorim School,” starring Shin Hyun-Joon, Lee Hyun-Woo, Seo Ye-Ji, Hong Bin & Jeong Eu-Gene, has been shortened to 16 episodes from its originally planned 20 episodes. The drama series was shortened due to low TV ratings and conflict over production costs between network KBS and production company JSpictures. The drama series will now finish on March 1, 2016 instead of March 15, 2016. The following drama series “Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul-Ho” will still premiere on March 21, 2016 as originally planned. KBS2 will now air a short 4 episode drama series “Babysitter” between the final episode of “Moorim School” and the first episode of “Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul-Ho.”
Actress Rena Tanaka is cast for upcoming movie “Katsuragi Case” (literal title) starring Tomokazu Miura, Kaho Minami, Hirofumi Arai & Ryuya Wakaba. Movie is written and directed by Masaaki Akahori (“The Samurai That Night“). Premise for the film follows the Katsuragi family. Their 21-year-old son Minoru (Ryuya Wakaba) kills 8 people and goes on death row. Actress Rena Tanaka will play Junko Hoshino. Her character is opposed to the death penalty and she decides to marry Minoru to show her opposition to the death penalty.
“Katsuragi Case” will be released sometime this summer in Japan.
First script reading for upcoming MBC drama series “Happy Home” starring Kim So-Yeon, Lee Sang-Woo & Lee Pil-Mo took place January 17, 2016 at MBC Dream Centre in Ilsan, South Korea. At the first script reading, Kim So-Yeon, Lee Pil-Mo, Yoon Jin-Yi, Park Min-Woo, Kim Ji-Ho and others attended.
