Bae Jong-Ok & Oh Ji-Eun cast in KBS2 drama series “Nameless Woman”

Bae Jong-Ok & Oh Ji-Eun are cast for the lead roles in new weekday evening KBS2 drama series “Nameless Woman” (literal title). Also cast in the drama series for lead male characters are Park Yoon-Jae and Seo Ji-Suk. For the drama series Bae Jong-Ok will play Hong Ji-Won. She escaped from a poor background and eventually married the owner of a large company. She learns that her son has a disease and decides to do anything for her son. Oh Ji-Eun will play Son Yeo-Ri. She was abandoned by her wealthy foster parents and boyfriend. To protect her child, she goes to prison. Park Yoon-Jae will play Koo Do-Chi. He works as an actor. Lastly, Seo Ji-Suk will play Kim Moo-Yeol. He is Son Yeo-Ri’s first love, but abandons her for success.

“Nameless Woman” will first air April 24, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Monday – Friday 7:50PM time slot after “First Love Again)”.

Kim Jung-Eun offered lead female role in OCN drama series “Dual”

Kim Jung-Eun has been offered the lead female role in upcoming OCN drama series “Dual” starring Jung Jae-Young. If Kim Jung-Eun accepts the offer, she will play Choi Jo-Hye. Her character is an ambitious public prosecutor. She is the one who gets Police Officer Jang Deuk-Cheon (Jung Jae-Young) involved in a shocking case. The existence of human clones come into play.

“Dual” first airs this May in South Korea (takes over OCN’s Saturday and Sunday 10 PM time slot after “Tunnel.”

Hyeri & Kim Min-Suk cast in movie “Strange Object”

Hyeri (‘Girl’s Day’) and Kim Min-Suk are cast in new movie “Strange Object” (literal title) starring Kim Myung-Min. In the film, Hyeri will play the lead female character. Her character is the daughter of the character played by Kim Myung-Min. Kim Min-Suk will play a counterpart to Hyeri’s character. Movie will be directed by Huh Jong-Ho and set in a historical times.

Filming for “Strange Object” begins April, 2017 in South Korea.

Sho Sakurai, Suzu Hirose and Sota Fukushi cast in movie “Laplace’s Witch”

Sho Sakurai (‘Arashi’), Suzu Hirose and Sota Fukushi are cast in new movie “Laplace’s Witch” (literal title). The film is based on Keigo Higashino‘s 80th novel “Rapurasu no Majo” and directed by Takashi Miike. The upcoming film is setup as a science mystery with two poisoning deaths taking place near two different hot springs in Japan. Professor & geochemist Shusuke Aoe is tasked to find out whether the deaths occurred naturally or were murders. Suzu Hirose will play Madoka Uhara. She appears when Shusuke Aoe examines the cases.  Sota Fukushi will play Kento Amakasu. He is a mysterious young man who went missing and connected with Madoka Uhara.

“Laplace’s Witch” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
