Gong Yoo and Lee Dong-Wook still images from tvn drama series “Goblin”

Here’s new still images of Gong Yoo and Lee Dong-Wook in a scene from upcoming tvN drama series “Goblin.” The scene is of Kim Shin (Gong Yoo ) and Wang Yeo (Lee Dong-Wook) meeting for the first time. Kim Shin is a goblin and Wang Yeo an angel of death. Filming for this scene took place October 23, 2016 around the Jongno area of Seoul, South Korea.

“Goblin” first airs December 2, 2016 in South Korea.

Trailer and teaser poster for Sion Sono’s “Shinjuku Swan 2”

Trailer and teaser poster added for Sion Sono directed film “Shinjuku Swan 2” starring Gou Ayano & Tadanobu Asano. Movie is based on manga series “Shinjuku Swan Kabukicho Skauto Sabaibaru” by Ken Wakui. Story for “Shinjuku Swan 2” has Tatsuhiko Shiratori (“Gou Ayano”) moving out to Yokohama from Shinjuku. He runs afoul of the CEO of a scouting company there played by Tadanobu Asano.

Release date for “Shinjuku Swan 2” has now been set for January 21, 2017 in Japan.

Release date for “My Annoying Brother” changed

Release date for upcoming film “My Annoying Brother,” starring Cho Jung-Seok, Do Kyung-Soo & Park Shin-Hye, has been pulled up by a week from November 31st to November 24th, 2016. The earlier release date was made in reaction to positive early previews for the film. The film follows a young talented judo athlete (Do Kyung-Soo) and his older brother (Cho Jung-Seok) who gets released from prison after 15 years. Park Shin-Hye plays the judo coach.

Atsushi Ito cast in movie “Neko Atsume no Ie”

Atsushi Ito is cast in new movie “Neko Atsume no Ie.” The movie is based on the video game “Neko Atsume” which was developed by Hit-Point for iOS and Android phones. Movie is directed by Masatoshi Kurakata & screenplay by Yuji Nagamori. In the upcoming movie, Atsushi Ito will play main character Masaru Sakumoto. He is a successful novelist, but going through a severe case of writer’s block. He decides to move into a new home for inspiration and becomes involved with cats that come into his yard.

“Neko Atsume no Ie” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Yeon Woo-Jin and Park Hye-Soo cast in tvN drama series “Introverted Boss”

Yeon Woo-Jin and Park Hye-Soo are cast for the lead roles in upcoming tvN drama series “Introverted Boss.” In the drama series, Yeon Woo-Jin plays Eun Hwan-Ki. His character is the CEO of a company, but he is extremely shy. To the point his employees don’t know much about him. Park Hye-Soo will play Chae Ro-Woon. She begins working at the same company and her goal is to get revenge on Eun Hwan-Ki.

“Introverted Boss” first airs January, 2017 in South Korea.

Song Ji-Eun cast in drama series “My Secret Romance”

Song Ji-Eun from idol group ‘Secret’ is cast in upcoming drama series “My Secret Romance” co-starring Sung Hoon. Song Ji-Eun will play lead female character Lee Yoo-Mi. Her character has never had a boyfriend before and works as a dietitian at a corporate cafeteria. She has a bright personality and conservative attitude abut love. She becomes romantically involved with Cha Jin-Wook (Sung Hoon).

Exact network to air the drama series has yet to be decided, but the drama series is scheduled to air sometime next year in South Korea.

Cho Jin-Woong & Song Seung-Heon cast in movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo”

Cho Jin-Woong and Song Seung-Heon are now cast in upcoming movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Jeong Man-Sik, Jung Jin-Young, Lee Seo-Won, Kwak Dong-Yeon, Yoo Seung-Mok, Shin Jung-Keun & Jeong Gyu-Su. First script reading for the film took place October 31, 2016 and filming began today, November 7, 2016.

In the upcoming movie, Cho Jin-Woong plays main character Kim Chang-Soo. After becoming imprisoned, he becomes a fighter for Korean independence (movie is set in the early 1900’s). Song Seung-Heon will play Kang Hyung-Sik. He is cold hearted prison governor. This is the first time for Song Seung-Heon to play a villain.

“Commander Kim Chang-Soo” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
