Ryuhei Matsuda is cast in upcoming Fuji TV drama series “Eigyo Bucho Kira Natsuko” starring Nanako Matsushima. In the drama series, Ryuhei Matsuda will play Keisuke Takagi. His character works as a creative director at an advertising firm. When he first started his job, he had a hard time and worked under Natsuko Kira (Nanako Matsushima). Natsuko Kira then took a maternity leave for 3 years and she has now returned to the company. Keisuke Takagi isn’t very nice to Natsuko upon her return, but he wants to show her that he has improved at his job.
“Eigyo Bucho Kira Natsuko” will be released this July in South Korea.
The 52nd PaekSang Arts Awards just finished tonight in South Korea. Big winners include Lee Joon-Ik winning the “Grand Prize” in the movie division for his films “Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet” and “The Throne.” Movie “Assassination” received the “Best Film” award. On the drama series side, the “Grand Prize” went to KBS2 drama series “Descendants of the Sun” and “Best Drama” award went to tvN drama series “Signal.”

Teaser poster & release date for movie “Kanon” starring Manami Higa, Mimura & Nozomi Sasaki. Movie features the three leading actress portraying sisters reuniting at their grandmother’s funeral and learning about their mother. Movie is directed by Toshiro Saiga (“Little Maestro“).
“Kanon” is now set for release October 1, 2016 in Japan (will screen at the Toyama Film Festival on June 12, 2016).
Actress Park Bo-Young has been offered the title character role in upcoming JTBC drama series “Powerful Woman Do Bong-Soon” (literal title). The drama series is scripted by Baek Mi-Kyeong (“My Love Eun-Dong“) and directed by Lee Hyeong-Min (“Winter Sonata“). Currently in Park Bo-Young is “positively considering” the offer and they are in final stage of discussions about the role. If Park Bo-Young accepts, she will play central figure Do Bong-Soon. The drama series will follow several women, with Do Bong-Soon being a central character in the story.
“Powerful Woman Do Bong-Soon” will first air January, 2017 in South Korea.
Second teaser trailer for upcoming movie “Over Fence” starring Joe Odagiri, Yu Aoi and Shota Matsuda. Movie is based on the short story “Over Fence” by Yasushi Sato (“The Light Shines Only There“) and directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita (“Linda Linda Linda“).
“Over Fence” will be released September 17, 2016 in Japan.
Ayame Gouriki is cast in live-action TV Asahi drama series “Gu Ra Me!” The drama series is based on manga series “Gu Ra Me!~Daisaishou no Ryourinin~” by Mitsuru Nishimura. In the drama series, Ayame Gouriki plays Kurumi Ichiki. She works as a waitress at a high end traditional Japanese restaurant and is talented with cooking. She crosses paths with the executive secretary (Kenichi Takito) of the prime minister and eventually begins to work as a cook at the prime minister’s residence. Supporting actors include Kenichi Takito, Issei Takahashi, Yua Shinkawa & Risa Naito.
“Gu Ra Me!” first airs this July in Japan.

Actress Han Ji-Min has been offered the lead female role in upcoming tvN drama series “Tomorrow With You.” Han Ji-Min is currently “positively considering” the offer. If Han Ji-Min accepts the offer, she will play the wife of a time traveler.
“Tomorrow With You” will first air this September in South Korea (takes over tvN’s Fri. & Sat. 10:30 PM time slot after “The Good Wife“).
