First script reading for upcoming SBS drama series “Remember,” starring Yoo Seung-Ho & Park Min-Young, took place November 2, 2015 at SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea. The script reading had all main cast members including Yoo Seung-Ho, Park Min-Young, Namgung Min & Park Sung-Woong in attendance.
“Remember” first airs December 9, 2015 in South Korea.
Here’s the first still image of lead actor Song Il-Kook in upcoming KBS1 drama series “Jang Yeong-Sil” also starring Park Sun-Young and Kim Sang-Kyung. The historical drama series first airs January, 2016 in South Korea.
Junichi Okada (‘V6’) is cast in new movie “A Man Called Pirate.” The film is based on 2012 novel “”Kaizoku to Yobareta Otoko” by Naoki Hyakuta and directed by Takashi Yamazaki (“Always: Sunset on Third Street“/”The Eternal Zero“).
Story for “A Man Called Pirate” follows a businessman (Junichi Okaada) as he encounters financial troubles due to the end of World War 2. He then finds success in the oil industry.
“A Man Called Pirate” will be released sometime during winter, 2016 in Japan.
Teaser trailer added for upcoming live-action film “Hero Mania: Life” starring Masahiro Higashide, Masataka Kubota, Nana Komatsu & Tsurutaro Kataoka. Movie is based on manga “Seikatsu (Kanzen ban)” by Shigeyuki Fukumitsu and directed by Keisuke Toyoshima (“A Courtesan with Flowered Skin“).
In live-action film “Hero Mania: Life,” Masahiro Higashide plays a part-time convenience store worker. He decides to form a vigilante group to go against evil. His group includes Toshida (Masataka Kubota), high school student Kanari (Nana Komatsu) and Kusaki (Tsurutaro Kataoka).
“Hero Mania: Life” will be released May 7, 2016 in Japan.
Im Seul-Ong from Kpop group ‘2AM,’ Kyung Soo-Jin, Park Jung-Min and Hong Eun-Hee are all cast in omnibus horror film “Horror Stories Ⅲ.” Theme for “Horror Stories III,” will have segments set in the past, present and future. For the past segment, Baek Seung-Bin (“Members of the Funeral“) will direct that segment. For the present segment, Kim Sun (“White“) will direct and for the future segment, his brother Kim Gok (“White“) will direct. The three stories will be tied together by a segment directed by Min Kyu-Dong (“All About My Wife“).
Filming for “Horror Stories Ⅲ” has just begun and the movie will be released sometime during the first half of 2016 in South Korea.
Here’s the first still image of actress Kim Min-Hee in upcoming movie “Fingersmith” directed by Park Chan-Wook (“Oldboy“). Filming for “Fingersmith” finished October 31, 2015 in South Korea and took about 5 months to finish. Filming also took place in Japan. Movie “Fingersmith” is based on British novel “Fingersmith” by Sarah Waters.
“Fingersmith” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
Here’s the first teaser poster for upcoming film “Creepy” starring Hidetoshi Nishijima, Yuko Takeuchi, Haruna Kawaguchi, Masahiro Higashide & Teruyuki Kagawa. Movie is based on 2012 novel “Kuripi” by Yutaka Maekawa and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa (“Tokyo Sonata“). The caption on the teaser poster says “That person is not my father .. I don’t know him at all.”
“Creepy” will be released sometime during June, 2016 in Japan.
Here’s a first promotional behind the scenes cut of lead actors Park Hae-Jin & Kim Go-Eun in upcoming tvN drama series “Cheese in the Trap.” The drama series is based on popular webcomic “Cheese in the Trap” by Soon Ggi.
Filming for “Cheese in the Trap” began September, 2015 and the drama series will first air January 4, 2016 in South Korea.
Hinako Sano, Anna Iriyama (‘AKB48’) and Yuko Fueki are cast in guest roles in currently airing Fuji TV drama series “Siren” starring Tori Matsuzaka & Fumino Kimura.
Hinako Sano and Anna Iriyama will appear in ep.3 which airs later today, November 3, 3015. Hinako Sano will play Ai and Anna Iriyama will play Rena. Their characters are hostesses at an exclusive club and they try to seduce Detective Shinobu Satomi (Tori Matsuzaka). Meanwhile, actress Yuko Fueki will appear in ep.4 which airs November 10, 2015. She will play Doctor Kuramoto.
“Siren” airs Tuesdays at 10pm in Japan.
Actor Lee Sung-Min is cast in upcoming tvN drama series “Memory.” He will play main character Park Tae-Suk in the drama series. Story for “Memory” will deal with an attorney (Lee Sung-Min) who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Interesting to note, upcoming 2016 SBS drama series “Remember,” starring Yoo Seung-Ho & Park Min-Young, also deals with an attorney who is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Filming for “Memory” begins January, 2016 and the drama series will first air sometime during March, 2016 in South Korea.
