Yuma Nakayama (‘NYC’) is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Hokuto.” The drama series is based on 2012 novel “Hokuto Aru Satsujinsha no Kaishin” by Ira Ishida (“Ikebukuro West Gate Park“) and directed by Tomoyuki Takimoto (“Brain Man“).
For the drama series, Yuma Nakayama will play main character Hokuto Hashizume. His character was abused by his parents as a child and he never felt loved. As a teen, he moves out of a children’s home and to a home with his new foster mother Ayako Kondo. There, he feels loved for the first time, but he later becomes a murderer. During filming of the drama series, Yuma Nakayama dropped 12 kilograms to portray his character.
“Hokuto” first airs March, 2017 in Japan.
New still image and release date added for movie “Derailed” starring Ma Dong-Seok, Minho (‘SHINee’) and Da-Eun (‘2EYES’). Movie recently had its world premiere at the 2016 Busan International Film Festival in the Korean Cinema Today: Panorama section. Story for the film follows two runaway teens played by Minho and Da-Eun. They concoct a plan to make money by luring a man played by Ma Dong-Seok to a motel. Things go horribly wrong.
“Derailed” will be released November 24, 2016 in South Korea.
Ayame Misaki is cast in new movie “Hikari” co-starring Masatoshi Nagase. The film is written and directed by Cannes Film Festival winner Naomi Kawase. In the upcoming movie, Ayame Misaki will play lead female character Misako. The movie will follow the interactions of Misako with cameraman Masaya played by Masatoshi Nagase.
Filming for “Hikari” began October 16, 2016 and filming is expected to finish next month. “Hikari” will be released sometime 2017 in Japan.
Teaser posters and ep.1 teaser trailer added for upcoming MBC weekday evening drama series “Golden Pouch” starring Kim Ji-Han & Ryu Hyo-Young. Story for the drama series follows a man who became a surgeon, but he fell into ruin. He then finds success with a dumpling restaurant.
“Golden Pouch” first airs November 14, 2016 in South Korea.
English subtitled trailer added for movie “My Annoying Brother” starring Cho Jung-Seok, Park Shin-Hye & Do Kyung-Soo. Story for the film follows two brothers with the younger one played by Do Kyung-Soo being a judo Olympic hopeful and the older brother being a just released prisoner. Park Shin-Hye plays the younger brother’s judo coach.
“My Annoying Brother” is now set for release November 30, 2016 in South Korea.
Here’s the first still images of Jin Goo in upcoming MBC drama series “Night Light” co-starring Lee Yo-Won & Uee. The stil images are from his shooting on location in Japan. In the upcoming drama series, Jin Goo plays Park Gun-Woo. He comes from a wealthy family that runs a large company. At one point, he aspired to make music and went to Japan. There, he met Seo Yi-Kyung (Lee Yo-Won) and fell in love with her. He became brokenhearted and returned to South Korea. 12 years later, he meets Seo Yi-Kyung again.

Tori Matsuzaka is cast in new live-action film “Impossibility Defense” (“Funohan”). The film is based on manga series”Funohan” by Arata Miyatsuki and directed by Koji Shiraishi (“Sadako vs Kayako“).
In live-action film “Impossibility Defense,” Tori Matsuzaka will play main character Tadashi Usobuki. His character wears black suits, has red eyes and is an assassin. His methods for assassinations involve using curses and brainwashing techniques.
“Impossibility Defense” will be released 2018 in Japan.
Teaser trailer & poster added for upcoming live-action film “Peach Girl” starring Mizuki Yamamoto & Kei Inoo. Movie is based on manga series “Peach Girl” by Miwa Ueda & directed by Koji Shintoku. Story for the film follows high school student Momo Adachi (Mizuki Yamamoto) who comes off as a wild biri gal, but is an innocent girl. Two guys at her school take an interest in her.
“Peach Girl” will be released May 20, 2017 in Japan.
