In the drama series, Jang Dong-Yoon will play Han Ji-Hoon. His character is a high school student and a promising cellist. He takes up the role of attorney for Choi Wook-Kyuk who is blamed for the death of So-Woo and leads a school courtroom with Ko Seo-Yeon.
Ryo Yoshizawa is cast in upcoming live-action drama series “Friends Games” and live-action movie version “Friends Games.” The drama series and movie is based on manga series “Tomodachi Gemu” by Mikoto Yamaguchi. In both titles, Ryo Yoshizawa will play main character Yuichi Katakiri. Yuichi Katakiri and his friends wake up to find themselves having to take part in the game “Friends Games.”
“Friends Games” will air next year (network to be announced) and the live-action film version will also be released sometime next year in Japan.
Takeru Satoh is cast in new live-action film “Ajin: Demi-Human.” Movie is based on manga series “Ajin” by Gamon Sakurai and directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro (“Bayside Shakedown“). In the movie, Takeru Satoh will play main character Kei Nagai. After dying in a car accident and then coming back to life, he learns that he is a type of immortal known as “Ajin.” “Ajin” are hated by humans for being dangerous and the government soon learns of Kei Nagai being an “Ajin.” He is sent to a government laboratory to undergo research.
“Ajin: Demi-Human” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Kim Hyun-Soo is cast for the lead female role in upcoming JTBC drama series “Solomon’s Perjury.” The drama series is based on Japanese novel “Solomon no Gisho” by Miyuki Miyabe. For Kim Hyun-Soo, her role in “Solomon’s Perjury” marks her first ever lead acting role (she debuted in 2011 film “Silenced“).
In drama series “Solomon’s Perjury,” Kim Hyun-Soo will play Ko Seo-Yeon. She is a model student with excellent academic scores and full of confidence. She becomes angry at her high school and with the adults who try to coverup the death of her classmate So-Woo. Ko Seo-Yeon decides to organize a court trial at her school to reveal the truth behind So-Woo’s death, even though the high school and her family opposes.
“Solomon’s Perjury” first airs December, 2016 in South Korea.
In the drama series, Jang Hyuk will play Moo Jin-Hyuk. His character was a former hotshot detective, but his world fell apart after his wife was murdered by a serial killer. He holds heavy guilt over his wife’s death and looks for her killer. Lee Ha-Na will play Kang Kwon-Joo. While, she worked at a 112 emergency call center, she heard her father murdered by someone at a crime scene. She is now a professional voice profiler. She teams up with Moo Jin-Hyuk to track down the killer.
“Voice” first airs this January in South Korea.
Naohito Fujiki, Kiko Mizuhara, Fuma Kikuchi (‘Sexy Zone’), Magi, Nobuo Kyo, Ren Osugi, Mizuki Yamamoto and Ken Yasuda are all cast in upcoming Fuji TV drama series “Uso no Senso” starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. The characters they play are:
Naohito Fujiki plays Takashi Nishina. He is the CEO of Nishina Corporation. He will do anything to protect his family and corporation. He becomes a foe of main character Koichi Ichinose (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi).
Kiko Mizuhara plays Haruka Tokura. She is a female swindler and works with Koichi Ichinose.
Fuma Kikuchi plays Kazuki Yahiro. He is an apprentice of Koichi Ichinose.
Magi plays Yuji Momota. He taught Koichi Ichinose the ways of a swindler and is like an older brother to him.
Nobuo Kyo plays Shinji Nanao. He is the chairman’s secretary at the Nishina Corporation.
Ren Osugi plays Mamoru Sanpei. He was friends with Koichi Ichinose’s late father.
Mizuki Yamamoto plays Kaede Nishina. She is the daughter of the Nishina Corporation chairman. She disconnects from her family and works as a doctor.
Ken Yasuda plays Akira Nishina. He is the CEO of a subsidiary company for the Nishina Corporation.

Lee Jong-Suk’s makes a cameo appearance in “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” due partially to his friendship with Lee Sung-Kyung who belongs to the same management company (YG Entertainment), production company Chorokbaem Media having producing drama series “W” and now “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo,” as well as the drama series airing on MBC where “W” did as well. For his cameo appearance, Lee Jong-Suk will play a customer who goes to the chicken restaurant run by Bok-Joo’s (Lee Sung-Kyung) father. Filming for this scene took place on October 15, 2016 at an outdoor set in Nowon, Seoul, South Korea.
“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” first airs November 16, 2016 in South Korea.
First script reading for MBC drama series “Romance Full of Life” starring Yoon Si-Yoon & Jo Soo-Hyang. The first script reading took place September, 2016 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. “Romance Full of Life” is a 3 episode drama series and part of MBC’s “Three Color Fantasy” series along with drama series “The Universe’s Star” and “Queen of Ring.”

Kengo Kora is cast in NHK drama series “Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit Season 2” starring Haruka Ayase. In the drama series, Kengo Kora will play Rauru. His character goes up against Balsa (Haruka Ayase) and Imperial Prince Chagum (Mizuki Itagaki). The drama series will consist of 3 seasons and Kengo Kora will also appear in the season 3 as well.
