Filming for upcoming crime-action film “Asura,” starring Jung Woo-Sung, Hwang Jung-Min & Ju Ji-Hoon finished January 25, 2016 in South Korea. Filming took about 4 months to finish. Movie is directed by Kim Sung-Su who has worked with actor Jung Woo-Sung in movies “Beat,” “City of the Rising Sun” and “Musa the Warrior.”
“Asura” will be released sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.
Teaser trailer for upcoming movie “Over Fence” starring Joe Odagiri, Yu Aoi & Shota Matsuda. Movie is based on a short story by Yasushi Sato (“Sketches of Kaitan City“/”The Light Shines Only There“) and directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita.

Actor Jang Keun-Suk is now cast in upcoming SBS period drama series “Daebak.” In the drama series, Jang Keun-Suk will play the character of Dae-Gil. His character is scripted as the best gambler in the Joseon era. He enters into an epic wager with King Yeongjo. Actress Lim Ji-Yeon and actor Yeo Jin-Goo are still considering on offers to play the other main roles.
“Daebak” will consist of 24 episodes and first air March 28, 2016 in South Korea.
First script reading for SBS drama series “Come Back Mister” took place back on December 22, 2015 at SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea. At the first script reading main cast members including Rain, Lee Min-Jung, Oh Yeon-Seo, Yoon Park, Lee Tae-Hwan and Lee Ha-Nui were all in attendance. The first script reading took about 5 hours to finish.

Sumire Sato from idol group SKE48 is cast in new live-action film “The Little Match Girl.” Also cast in the film are Yutaka Kobayashi and Takafumi Honda (both of whom are members of boy band ‘Boys and Men’). The film is based on manga series “Match Shoujo” by Sanami Suzuki and the manga itself is inspired by 1845 short story “The Little Match Girl” by Hans Christian Andersen. Premise for the film follows a Rin (Sumire Sato) as a girl who sells matches. The matches offers the possibility of attaining personal dreams, but are as dangerous as fire.
“The Little Match Girl” will be released May 28, 2016 in Japan.
Actors Kim Rae-Won & Han Suk-Kyu are now cast in upcoming movie “The Prison.” Movie will be directed by Na Hyeon (screenwriter for “May 18“/”Forever the Moment“). In the film “The Prison,” Kim Rae-Won will play a detective. The detective’s brother is then killed. To find out what happened to his brother, the detective goes into prison as an inmate. He tries to get close to a man (Han Suk-Kyu) who appears to be a king among the inmates.
Filming for “The Prison” begins February, 2016 in South Korea.
Trailer and poster added for upcoming SBS drama special “Mystery Freshman” starring Nam Ji-Hyun & Yeon Jun-Suk. Story for the drama special has Nam Ji-Hyun playing Oh A-Young. Her character fails to get into Myungsung University twice. She then lies to her family and tells her she got into the school, but a cousin of hers actually attends the school and knows about her lie. The cousin then has Oh A-Young attending her classes for her. Oh A-Young then meets a mysterious freshman (Yeon Jun-Suk).
“Mystery Freshman” airs January 29, 2016 in South Korea.
Yutaka Takenouchi cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama special “Sutekina Sen Taxi Special.” The 1 episode drama special follows 2014 drama series “Sutekina Sen Taxi.” Also cast for the drama special are Bakarhythm, Takeshi Masu, Nao Minamisawa and Nana Seino, who all appeared in the “”Sutekina Sen Taxi” drama series. Premise for the drama series involves taxi cab driver Edawakare (Yutaka Takenouchi) who takes passenger into the past and to a time they specify.
“Sutekina Sen Taxi Special” will air sometime this spring in Japan.
