Kasumi Yamaya is cast in upcoming film “Cinderella Game.” Movie is based on novel “Shinderera Gemu” by Junpei Arai and directed by Hayato Kano. Also cast in the film are Taro Suruga, Airi Shimizu, Hiko Achiha & Arisa Sonohara.
In movie “Cinderella Game,” Kasumi Yamaya plays Sana Haitani. She’s a member of an idol group, but she gets kidnapped and taken to a desolate island. There, she is forced to take part in a death game with other kidnapped idols.
“Cinderella Game” will be released October 1, 2016 in Japan.
Yuki Furukawa is cast in upcoming live-action film “Laughing Under the Clouds” starring Sota Fukushi, Yuma Nakayama and Kirato Wakayama.
In the upcoming live-action film, Yuki Furukawa will play Sousei Abeno – the captain of the Yamainu squad. The Yamainu squad was formed to discover and destroy the giant snake Orochi. Sousei Abeno and Tenka Kumo (Sota Fukushi) were friends since they were both little, but Sousei Abeno can’t forgive Tenka Kumo for leaving the squad.
“Laughing Under the Clouds” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Trailer added for upcoming movie “A Sower of Seeds 3” (“Tanemaku Tabibito: Yume no Tsugiki”) starring Rin Takanashi & Takumi Saito. Movie is directed by Kiyoshi Sasabe (“My So Has Got Depression“) & scripted by Teruo Abe (“The Taste of Fish“). Although characters and screenplay are unrelated, movie is a sequel to 2012 film “A Sower of Seeds” and 2015 film “A Sower of Seeds 2.” All three films share similar themes set around agriculture.

Ami Tomite is cast in movie “Anti-Porno” directed by Sion Sono. Ami Tomite was a trainee for idol group “AKB48” and this is her first starring role in a film. Setup for the film has Ami Tomite playing an artist and writer who shuts herself in a room and follows a minute by minute schedule sent to her by her manager.
“Anti-Porno” has already received invitations to the competition section at the 22nd L’Étrange Festival and the competition section at the 49th Sitges Film Festival. “Anti-Porno” will be released sometime this winter in Japan.
Release date and teaser poster added for upcoming Hong Sang-Soo directed film “Yourself and Yours” starring Kim Ju-Hyeok & Lee Yoo-Young. “Yourself and Yours” is now scheduled for release sometime this November in South Korea. In addition, “Yourself and Yours” will be making the rounds to various international film festivals. The movie already has invites for the International Competition section at the 64th San Sebastián International Film Festival, the Masters section at the 41st Toronto International Film Festival and the Main Slate section at the 54th New York Film Festival. “Yourself and Yours” is Hong Sang-Soo’s 18th directed film.
Gen Hoshino is cast in upcoming live-action TBS drama series “We Married as Job” co-starring Yui Aragaki. “We Married as Job” is based on manga series “Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu” by Tsunami Umino.
In the drama series, Gen Hoshino will play lead male character Hiramasa Tsuzaki. His character has never had a girlfriend and he works for an IT company. He accepts an offer from Mikuri Moriyama’s (Yui Aragaki) to marry. She works for him as a housekeeper.

They meet at a script reading for an upcoming drama series scripted by Lee So-Hye and starring Ryoo Hae-Sung. 12 years earlier, Ryoo Hae-Sung made his acting debut in a TV movie scripted by Lee So-Hye. He first gained popularity because of that TV movie.

In movie “Mustard Chocolate,” Nana Yamada plays Rinko Tsugumi. At her high school, she doesn’t have any friends and she doesn’t talk to with others. She then enrolls in an art cram school and begins to grow as a person.
