Yeon Woo-Jin and Park Hye-Soo cast in tvN drama series “Introverted Boss”

Yeon Woo-Jin and Park Hye-Soo are cast for the lead roles in upcoming tvN drama series “Introverted Boss.” In the drama series, Yeon Woo-Jin plays Eun Hwan-Ki. His character is the CEO of a company, but he is extremely shy. To the point his employees don’t know much about him. Park Hye-Soo will play Chae Ro-Woon. She begins working at the same company and her goal is to get revenge on Eun Hwan-Ki.

“Introverted Boss” first airs January, 2017 in South Korea.

Song Ji-Eun cast in drama series “My Secret Romance”

Song Ji-Eun from idol group ‘Secret’ is cast in upcoming drama series “My Secret Romance” co-starring Sung Hoon. Song Ji-Eun will play lead female character Lee Yoo-Mi. Her character has never had a boyfriend before and works as a dietitian at a corporate cafeteria. She has a bright personality and conservative attitude abut love. She becomes romantically involved with Cha Jin-Wook (Sung Hoon).

Exact network to air the drama series has yet to be decided, but the drama series is scheduled to air sometime next year in South Korea.

Cho Jin-Woong & Song Seung-Heon cast in movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo”

Cho Jin-Woong and Song Seung-Heon are now cast in upcoming movie “Commander Kim Chang-Soo” (literal title). Also cast in supporting roles are Jeong Man-Sik, Jung Jin-Young, Lee Seo-Won, Kwak Dong-Yeon, Yoo Seung-Mok, Shin Jung-Keun & Jeong Gyu-Su. First script reading for the film took place October 31, 2016 and filming began today, November 7, 2016.

In the upcoming movie, Cho Jin-Woong plays main character Kim Chang-Soo. After becoming imprisoned, he becomes a fighter for Korean independence (movie is set in the early 1900’s). Song Seung-Heon will play Kang Hyung-Sik. He is cold hearted prison governor. This is the first time for Song Seung-Heon to play a villain.

“Commander Kim Chang-Soo” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.

Supporting cast announced for live-action film “Blade of the Immortal”

Supporting cast has been announced for upcoming live-action film “Blade of the Immortal” starring Takuya Kimura & Hana Sugisaki. Cast in supporting roles are Sota Fukushi, Hayato Ichihara, Erika Toda, Ebizo Ichikawa, Tsutomu Yamazaki, Min Tanaka, Kazuki Kitamura, Chiaki Kuriyama & Shinnosuke Mitsushima. Movie is directed by Takashi Miike & based on manga series “Mugen no Junin” by Hiroaki Samura.

Some background information on the supporting characters. Sota Fukushi will play Kagehisa Anotsu. He is a leader of Itto Ryu. Hayato Ichihara will play Shira. He suggests to Manji (Takuya Kimura) that they should fight together against Kagehisa Anotsu (Sota Fukushi ).  Erika Toda will play Makie Otonotachibana. She is a swordswoman whom Kagehisa Anotsu trusts.

“Blade of the Immortal” will be released April 29, 2017 in Japan.

Main trailer for movie “Honnouji Hotel”

Main trailer added for upcoming movie “Honnouji Hotel” starring Haruka Ayase & Shinichi Tsutsumi. Although movie isn’t a sequel of 2011 film “Princess Toyotomi,” it does feature Haruka Ayase, Shinichi Tsutsumi, director Masayuki Suzuki and screenwriter Tomoko Aizawa working together again. Story for the film also features a hotel that allows a woman played by Haruka Ayase to go back in time and meet legendary daimyo Oda Nobunaga (Shinichi Tsutsumi).

“Honnouji Hotel” opens January 14, 2017 in Japan.

Cha Tae-Hyun to make cameo appearance in SBS drama series “The Legend of the Blue Sea”

Actor Cha Tae-Hyun is set to make a cameo appearance in upcoming SBS drama series “The Legend of the Blue Sea” starring Gianna Jun & Lee Min-Ho. Cha Tae-Hyun previously starred with Gianna Jun in popular romantic-comedy film “My Sassy Girl” in 2001. In addition, “The Legend of the Blue Sea” screenwriter Park Ji-Eun worked with Cha Tae-Hyun in 2015 KBS2 drama series “The Producers.” Filming for Cha Tae-Hyun’s cameo scene took place November 4, 2016.

“The Legend of the Blue Sea” first airs November 16, 2016 in South Korea.

Still images of Gong Yoo and Kim Go-Eun meeting for first time in tvN drama series “Goblin”

Here’s still images of Gong Yoo and Kim Go-Eun in upcoming tvN drama series “Goblin.” The still images are from a scene with Kim Shin (Gong Yoo)  and Ji Eun-Tak (Kim Go-Eun) meeting for the first time. Kim Shin is a mysterious and sad immortal goblin. Ji Eun-Tak seems to be an ordinary third year high school student, but in fact she is not quite ordinary. Filming for this scene took place October 28, 2016 in Jongno, Seoul, South Korea.
