Here’s the first teaser poster and two still images for upcoming film “Cherry Blossom Memories” starring Maika Yamamoto & Koudai Asaka. Movie is directed by Atsushi Ueda (“School Girl’s Gestation”) and is based on the 2012 novel “Sakura no Ame” by halyosy (which itself based on the song “Sakura no Ame” by halyosy).
Release date for “Cherry Blossom Memories” is now set for sometime this March in Japan.
Here’s the first image from upcoming Park Chan-Wook directed film “Fingersmith” starring Ha Jung-Woo & Kim Min-Hee. The image features (left to right) Ha Jung-Woo, Kim Min-Hee, Kim Tae-Ri and Cho Jin-Woong. Filming for “Fingersmith” finished recently in South Korea and took about 4 months to finish. Story for the film is based on 2002 novel “Fingersmith” by Sarah Waters.
“Fingersmith” will be released sometime during summer, 2016 in South Korea.
Teen actress Kim So-Hyun is cast in upcoming movie “Princess Deokhye” (literal title) starring Son Ye-Jin & Park Hae-Il. Movie is based on 2009 novel “Deokhyeongjoo” by Kwon Bi-Young and directed by Hur Jin-Ho (“Christmas in August”).
In movie “Princess Deokhye,” Kim So-Hyun will play main character Princess Deokhye (Son Ye-Jin) during her younger teenage years. As a young girl, Princess Deokhye was adored by the people and her father King Gojong, but after witnessing her father’s assassination she changes.
Filming for “Princess Deokhye” begins November, 2015 in South Korea.
English subtitled teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “The Sound of a Flower” starring Ryoo Seung-Ryong, Bae Suzy, Kim Nam-Gil & Song Sae-Byeok . Movie is directed by Lee Jong-Pil (“Born To Sing”). Story for “The Sound of a Flower” follows a young woman (Bae Suzy) who takes up the guise of a man so she can sing pansori (traditional Korean music/storytelling) and her teacher (Ryoo Seung-Ryong who risks everything to help her.
“The Sound of a Flower” will be released November 25, 2015 in South Korea.
Filming for upcoming movie “Haeuhhwa” finished October 17, 2015. Filming took about 4 months to complete. Movie “Haeuhhwa” features the trio of Han Hyo-Joo, Yoo Yeon-Seok & Chun Woo-Hee (whom all appeared in movie “The Beauty Inside“) in a period film revolving around two gisaengs and a top music producer. The movie is directed by Park Heung-Sik (“My Mother the Mermaid“/”Memories of the Sword“).
Release date for “Haeuhhwa” is set for sometime next year in South Korea.
Takumi Saito and Masataka Kubota are cast in new NTV drama series “Rinsho Hanzai Gakusha Himura Hideo no Suiri.” The drama series is based on 1992 novel “Himura Hideo Series” by Arisu Arisugawa. In the drama series, Takumi Saito will play criminologist Hideo Himura and Masataka Kubota will play mystery novel writer Arisu Arisugawa. Arisu Arisugawa assists his friend Hideo Himura to solve cases.

Movie is based on manga series “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi” by Kei Sanbe and directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa (“Rookies”/”Until The Break Of Dawn”). Unique story for “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi” involves a manga artist (Tatsuya Fujiwara) who goes back in time to solve a serial murder case and save his mother from the killer.

Munetaka Aoki & Suzuki Matsuo are cast in upcoming NHK period drama series “Chikaemon.” Drama series is based on an original screenplay by Yuki Fujimoto (“Flower in Bloom” & “Taira no Kiyomori“), but centered around real-life historical figure Monzaemon Chikamatsu.
In drama series “Chikaemon,” Suzuki Matsuo plays Monzaemon Chikamatsu. He is a dramatist of jōruri, which is an early puppet theater precursor to bunraku and kabuki. Monzaemon Chikamatsu finds himself in a writing slump, but things change when he meets a gambler played by Munetaka Aoki.
