Haruka Ayase, Haruma Miura and Asami Mizukawa are cast in TBS drama “Never Let Me Go”

Haruka Ayase, Haruma Miura and Asami Mizukawa are cast in upcoming romance/sci-fi TBS drama series “Never Let Me Go.” The drama series is based on novel “Never Let Me Go” by British-Japanese author Kazuo Ishiguro, The novel was previously adapted into 2010 U.S. film “Never Let Me Go” directed by Mark Romanek.

Story for drama series “Never Let Me Go” deals with three people (played by Haruka Ayase, Haruma Miura and Asami Mizukawa) who attended the same isolated boarding school years ago. The three are actual clones and they were produced for eventual organ harvesting.

“Never Let Me Go” first airs January, 2016 in Japan.

Kyoko Fukada & Dean Fujioka cast in TBS live-action drama “Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai”

Kyoko Fukada & Dean Fujioka are cast in TBS live-action drama series “Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai.” The drama series is based on manga “Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai” by Aya Nakahara (“Love Complex“). Also cast in the drama series are Shohei Miura, Maho Nonami & Mimura.

In drama series “Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai,” Kyoko Fukada plays Michio Shibata. Her character is unemployed after her prior place of employment went bankrupt. She is unable to find a new job, but then meets her boss from her last job. She was always afraid of him, but decides to work part-time at a tearoom that he now runs.

“Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai” first airs January 12, 2016 in Japan.

Here’s the first still images of actor Yoo Seung-Ho in upcoming SBS drama series “Remember” also starring Park Min-Young.

Ren Kiriyama cast in Fuji TV drama series “Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa”

Ren Kiriyama is cast in new Fuji TV drama series “Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa.” The drama series is based on short story collection novel “Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa” by Shigeaki Kato. Shigeaki Kato is a member of idol group ‘NEWS’ and will also appear in the drama series “Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa.” Also cast in the drama series are Rika Adachi, Nao Minamisawa, Masanobu Sakata & Raita Ryu.

Story for “Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa” has Ren Kiriyama playing aspiring writer Jun Hashimoto. His character is assigned by his editor to write a short love story for a web magazine. Jun Hashimoto doesn’t want to write the story and has difficulty coming up with an idea for the story. His friend played by Shigeaki Kato then appears and Jun Hashimoto concocts a story.

“Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa” will consist of 4 episodes and air from January 9 through January 30, 2016 in Japan.

Kim So-Hyun cast in KBS2 drama “Page Turner”

Teen actress Kim So-Hyun is cast in new 3 episode KBS2 drama series “Page Turner.” The drama series depicts the story of three youths. Kim So-Hyun will play talented pianist Yoon Yoo-Seul. She gets into an accident which causes her to possibly never play the piano again. With the help of her friend and former rival, she begins to live a new life.

3 episode KBS2 drama series “Page Turner” will air February, 2016 in South Korea.

Jin Se-Yun cast in MBC drama series “The Flower in Prison”

Actress Jin Se-Yun is cast in new MBC drama series “The Flower in Prison” (working and literal title). The drama series will be directed by Lee Byung-Hoon (“Dong Yi“/”A Jewel in the Palace“) and scripted by Choi Wan-Kyu (“Midas“). Actor Ko Soo has been offered the lead male role and he is currently “positively considering” the offer.

Drama series “The Flower in Prison” is set during the Joseon Dynasty era. Jin Se-Yun will play main character Ok-Nyeo. Her character was born in prison, but now is part of the “weji-boo” which helps the less fortunate in the area of law.

“The Flower in Prison” will first air March, 2016 in South Korea (takes over MBC’s Saturday and Sunday 9:45 time slot from”My Daughter, Geum Sa-Wol“).
