Toma Ikuta, Eita & Tsubasa Honda cast in movie “The Mole Song 2”

Toma Ikuta, Eita & Tsubasa Honda are cast in sequel film “The Mole Song 2” (placeholder title). Movie is directed by Takashi Miike & screenplay by Kankuro Kudo – they previously worked together with Tom Ikuta in the original 2014 film “The Mole Song: Undercover Agent Reiji.” Also cast in the film are Arata Furuta, Nanao, Riisa Naka, Yusuke Kamiji, Mitsuru Fukikoshi, Kenichi Endo, Sarutoki Minagawa, Koichi Iwaki and Shinichi Tsutsumi.

Eita, Tsubasa Honda, Arata Furuta and Nanao are new cast members who did not appear in the first film. Story for the sequel film will be set in Hong Kong and has Reiji Kikukawa (Toma Ikuta) going undercover to tackle the Chinese mafia. Eita will play Shinya Kabuto. His character is the newly appoint chief of the organized crime division and he goes after Reiji Kikukawa. Tsubasa Honda will play Karen Todoroki. Her character is the daughter of the crime boss for the Sukiyaki gang. Arata Furuta will play yakuza Momoji Sakuraba. Actress Nanao will play Fufon. Her character is a Chinese assassin for hire.

“The Mole Song 2” will be released December 23, 2016 in Japan.

Filming for movie “Cooperation” finishes

Filming for movie “Cooperation,” starring Hyun-BinYu Hae-Jin & Kim Ju-Hyeok, finished July 15, 2016 in Seoul, South Korea. Filming took a total of 4 months to complete.

In the film “Cooperation,” Hyun-Bin plays North Korean detective Im Chul-Ryung. He is sent to South Korea to catch North Korean refugee/crime boss Cha Ki-Sung (Kim Ju-Hyeok). Im Chul-Ryung cooperates with South Korean detective Kang Jin-Tae (Yu Hae-Jin) to take out the criminal.

Kazunari Ninomiya, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Aoi Miyazaki cast in movie “The Last Recipe”

Kazunari Ninomiya, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Aoi Miyazaki, Gou Ayano are all cast in new movie “The Last Recipe.” Also cast in the film are Daigo Nishihata, Yutaka TakenouchiYoshi Oida. Movie is based on 2014 novel “Kirin no Shita wo Motsu Otoko” by Keiichi Tanaka and directed by Yojiro Takita (“Departures“).

Story for “The Last Recipe” has Kazunari Ninomiya playing main character Mitsuru Sasaki. His character is a top chef, but he is burned out by his profession. He then receives a request to make a last dish for someone before that person dies. Mitsuru Sasaki looks for a legendary recipe by Naotaro Yamagata (Hidetoshi Nishijima) who went to Manchuria in the 1930’s.

“The Last Recipe” will be released autumn, 2017 in Japan.

Mun Ka-Young, Kim Jung-Hyun & An Woo-Yeon cast in SBS drama series “Jealousy Incarnate”

Mun Ka-Young, Kim Jung-Hyun & An Woo-Yeon are cast in supporting roles for upcoming SBS drama series “Jealousy Incarnate” starring Cho Jung-SeokKong Hyo-Jin.

All three newly announced cast members will play friends who are in the third grade of high school. In the drama series, Mun Ka-Young will play Lee Bbal-Gang. Her character isn’t interested in studying and she has also been hurt by cold adults. Kim Jung-Hyun will play Pyo Chi-Yeol. His character is the younger brother of Pyo Na-Ri (Kong Hyo-Jin). He is a model student with top scores and does well in sports. Her cares about his older sister a lot. Lastly, An Woo-Yeon will play Oh Dae-Goo. He came from the city of Daegu to study in Seoul. He is smart and lives alone in the city. He relies on his close friends Bbal-Gang and Chi-Yeol.

“Jealousy Incarnate” will first air August 17, 2016 in South Korea.

Casting announced for movie “Juushi no Yoru”

Casting has been announced for new movie “Juushi no Yoru” (literally “14’s Night”). Cast in the film are Naoki Inukai, Ken Mitsuishi, Mari Hamada, Mugi Kadowaki, Masato Wada, Nana Asakawa (‘SUPER☆GiRLS’) and Kentaro. Naoki Inukai is a rookie teen actor and he landed the lead role after taking part in auditions that included 750 other participants. The film is also the first film directed by screenwriter Shin Adachi (“Obon Brothers“).

Story for “Juushi no Yoru” is set in the 1980’s and revolves around a middle school student (Naoki Inukai) and his friends. The friends are all crazy about sex and they go nuts when they learn an AV actress will appear at a video store in their town.

“Juushi no Yoru” will be released December, 2016 in Japan.
