Tsuyoshi Kusanagi cast in Fuji TV drama series “Uso no Senso”

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi (‘SMAP’) is cast in new Fuji TV drama series “Uso no Senso.” The drama series will reunite Tsuyoshi Kusanagi with director Yoshishige Miyake and screenwriter Noriko Goto. They worked together last year in Fuji TV drama series “War of Money.”

In drama series “Uso no Senso,” Tsuyoshi Kusanagi will play a swindler named Koichi. He returns to Japan to take revenge on a person who killed his family many years ago. The person also framed Koichi’s father as the killer.

“Uso no Senso” first airs January, 2017 in Japan.

Kanata Hongo cast in live-action Fuji TV drama series “Love Concierge”

Kanata Hongo is cast in live-action Fuji TV drama series “Love Concierge” (“Love Hotel no Ueno-san”). The drama series is based on manga series “Rabuho no Ueno-san” by Ueno and Hakase.

In the upcoming drama series, Kanata Hongo will play main character Mr. Ueno. He works as a concierge at the love hotel “Gotanda Kingdom” and helps people with issues about love.

“Love Concierge” will stream on Fuji TV FOD from December 1, 2016 and air on Fuji TV from January, 2017 on Wednesdays.

First still images of Park Hae-Jin in JTBC drama series “Man to Man”

Here’s the first still images of Park Hae-Jin in upcoming JTBC drama series “Man to Man” co-starring Kim Min-Jung & Park Sung-Woong.

The still images of Park Hae-Jin are from his first day of filming for the drama series which took place October 17, 2016 around the Seongsu area of Seoul, South Korea. In the drama series, Park Hae-Jin plays bodyguard and NIS agent Kim Sul-Woo.

“Man to Man” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

More supporting cast members for movie “Hana Ikusa”

Takaya Yamauchi, Masato Wada, Eisaku Yoshida and Keiko Takeshita are cast in supporting roles for upcoming movie “Hana Ikusa.” Movie is directed by Tetsuo Shinohara and based on the 2011 novel “Hana Ikusa” by Tadashi Onitsuka.

In the upcoming film Takaya Yamauchi will play Senbaku. His character is a senior pupil of Buddhist Monk Senko (Mansai Nomura). Masato Wada will play Senbu. His character is a younger pupil of Senko. Eisaku Yoshida will play Mitsunari Ishida. He is a military commander.  Keiko Takeshita will play Buddhist nun Jochin.

“Hana Ikusa” is now scheduled for release June 3, 2017 in Japan.

Main cast announced for Fuji TV TWO drama series “Kanjo Hachi Gosen”

Rina Kawaei, Kana Kurashina, Shihori Kanjiya, Sei Matobu, Yuriko Ono and Akane Hotta are cast in Fuji TV TWO drama series “Kanjo Hachi Gosen.” The drama series consists of 6 stories/episodes with each of the ladies starring in an individual episode. Their stories are also connected. Screenplay is based on novel “Kanjo Hachi Gosen” by Tomomi Hatano (published October, 2015 by Shodensha).

“Kanjo Hachi Gosen” first airs January 15, 2017 in Japan.

Yoo Yeon-Seok’s first still images from SBS drama series “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim”

Here’s the first still images of Yoo Yeon-Seok in upcoming SBS drama series “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim” co-starring Han Suk-Kyu & Seo Hyun-Jin.

The still images were taken on September 29, 2016 at a drama set in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. In the drama series, Yoo Yeon-Seok plays Kang Dong-Joo. He is a surgeon with an ugly personality. He goes through a difficult time in his life, but he meets Teacher Kim (Han Suk-Kyu) and Yoon Seo-Jung (Seo Hyun-Jin).

“Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim” first airs November 7, 2016.
