Teaser trailer and a shorter international version teaser trailer added for upcoming disaster film “Pandora” starring Kim Nam-Gil, Kim Young-Ae & Moon Jeong-Hee. Movie is directed by Park Jung-Woo (“Deranged“). Story for the film revolves around a nuclear disaster with Kim Nam-Gil playing main character Jae-Hyeok as he tries to save his family and country.
“Pandora” opens this December in South Korea.
Here’s a special poster for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Hwarang” starring Park Seo-Joon & Go Ara. The drama series has also reverted back to the title of “Hwarang” from “Hwarang: The Beginning.” The special poster shows cast members Park Seo-Joon, Park Hyung-Sik, Minho (‘SHINee’), Do Ji-Han, Jo Yoon-Woo and Kim Tae-Hyung (‘BTS’).
“Hwarang” first airs December 19, 2016 in South Korea.
Poster and main trailer added for movie “Kiseki: Sobito of That Day” starring Tori Matsuzaka & Masaki Suda. Movie depicts the true story of J-pop group “GreeeeN” and their mega hit single “Kiseki.”
“Kiseki: Sobito of That Day” will be released January 28, 2017 in Japan.
Here’s still images of Gianna Jun and Lee Min-Ho in upcoming SBS drama series “The Legend of The Blue Sea.” The still images are from a flashback scene in the Joseon Dynasty period. Lee Min-Ho’s still is of Dam Ryung who is a newly appointed governor. Gianna Jun’s still is of her as a mermaid with a terrified face and surrounded by lotus. She is captured by greedy people and Dam Ryung appears in front of her.

Hana Sugisaki cast in upcoming live-action film “Blade of the Immortal” starring Takuya Kimura. The live-action film is based on manga series “Mugen no Junin” by Hiroaki Samura and directed by Takashi Miike.
For movie “Blade of the Immortal,” Hana Sugisaki will play lead female character Rin Asano. Her character seeks out to avenge the murders of her family. She hires Manji (Takuya Kimura) as a bodyguard in her quest for revenge. “Blade of the Immortal” is now set for release April 29, 2017 in Japan.
Cho Jae-Hyun is cast for a major supporting character role in upcoming JTBC drama series “Solomon’s Perjury.” The drama series is based on 2011 Japanese novel “Solomon no Gisho” by Miyuki Miyabe which was previously adapted into two part films “Solomon’s Perjury 1: Suspicion” and “Solomon’s Perjury 2: Judgment.” In the Korean drama series version, Cho Jae-Hyun will play Han Kyung-Moon. His character is Jin-Hoon’s adoptive father. He works as a lawyer and holds a secret to the case. Jin-Hoon is a student who leads the school court trial.
“Solomon’s Perjury” will first air December, 2016 (takes over JTBC’s Friday and Saturday 8:30PM time slot after “My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week“).
Yuma Nakayama (‘NYC’) is cast in new WOWOW drama series “Hokuto.” The drama series is based on 2012 novel “Hokuto Aru Satsujinsha no Kaishin” by Ira Ishida (“Ikebukuro West Gate Park“) and directed by Tomoyuki Takimoto (“Brain Man“).
For the drama series, Yuma Nakayama will play main character Hokuto Hashizume. His character was abused by his parents as a child and he never felt loved. As a teen, he moves out of a children’s home and to a home with his new foster mother Ayako Kondo. There, he feels loved for the first time, but he later becomes a murderer. During filming of the drama series, Yuma Nakayama dropped 12 kilograms to portray his character.
“Hokuto” first airs March, 2017 in Japan.
New still image and release date added for movie “Derailed” starring Ma Dong-Seok, Minho (‘SHINee’) and Da-Eun (‘2EYES’). Movie recently had its world premiere at the 2016 Busan International Film Festival in the Korean Cinema Today: Panorama section. Story for the film follows two runaway teens played by Minho and Da-Eun. They concoct a plan to make money by luring a man played by Ma Dong-Seok to a motel. Things go horribly wrong.
“Derailed” will be released November 24, 2016 in South Korea.
Ayame Misaki is cast in new movie “Hikari” co-starring Masatoshi Nagase. The film is written and directed by Cannes Film Festival winner Naomi Kawase. In the upcoming movie, Ayame Misaki will play lead female character Misako. The movie will follow the interactions of Misako with cameraman Masaya played by Masatoshi Nagase.
Filming for “Hikari” began October 16, 2016 and filming is expected to finish next month. “Hikari” will be released sometime 2017 in Japan.
