First script reading for MBC drama series “Night Light,” starring Lee Yo-Won, Jin Goo & Uee, took place September 27, 2016 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. The drama series follows three people who all have ambitions.
“Night Light” will first air November 21, 2016 in South Korea (taking over MBC’s Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Woman with a Suitcase“).
Krystal from Kpop group ‘f(x)’ will make a special appearance in upcoming SBS drama series “The Legend of the Blue Sea” starring Gianna Jun & Lee Min-Ho. Krystal will appear in an early episode of the drama series. She previously worked with Lee Min-Ho in 2013 SBS drama series “The Heirs.”
“The Legend of the Blue Sea” first airs November 16, 2016 in South Korea.
Main trailer added for upcoming live-action film “Kyo no Kira-kun” starring Taishi Nakagawa & Marie Iitoyo. Movie is based on manga series “Kyo no Kira kun” by Rin Mikimoto and directed by Yasuhiro Kawamura.
“Kyo no Kira-kun” will be released February 25, 2017 in Japan.
Teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “Sakurada Reset 1” starring Shuhei Nomura & Yuina Kuroshima. Movie is based on 2009 light novel “Sakurada Risetto” by Yutaka Kono. In the film, Shuhei Nomura and Yuina Kuroshima play teens with supernatural powers. The boy is able to remember everything and the girl is able to go back in time by 3 days. Together, they can go back in time and retain their memory.
“Sakurada Reset 1” will be released sometime spring, 2017 in Japan.
Han Ye-Seul has been offered the lead female role in upcoming SBS drama series “Defendant” which Ji Sung is currently considering an offer to play the lead male character. Both stars are currently “positively considering” their offers. If Han Ye-Seul accepts, she will play lead female character Seo Eun-Hye. Her character works as a public defender.
“Defendant” will first air January, 2017 in South Korea (airs Monday and Tuesday at 10PM after “Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim“).
Actress Ko Sung-Hee is set to make a cameo appearance in ep.17 of SBS drama series “Jealousy Incarnate.” Ko Sung-Hee previously worked with “Jealousy Incarnate” screenwriter Seo Sook-Hyang in 2013 MBC drama series “Miss Korea,” which led to her making the cameo appearance.
In ep.17, Ko Sung-Hee will play Oh Soo-Young. In Oh Soo-Young’s past, she dated Lee Hwa-Shin (Cho Jung-Seok) and Ko Jung-Won (Ko Gyung-Pyo) at the same time. In ep.3, Lee Hwa-Shin and Ko Jung-Won mentioned Oh Soo-Young’s name.
Ep.17 of “Jealousy Incarnate” will air October 19, 2016.
Teaser poster added for upcoming WOWOW drama series “Rakuen” starring Yukie Nakama. Drama series is based on 2007 novel “Rakuen” by Miyuki Miyabe.

The still images are from Nam Joo-Hyuk’s first day of filming, which took place September 12, 2016 in Bangi, Seoul, South Korea. In the drama series, Nam Joo-Hyuk plays Jung Joon-Hyung. He is a promising swimmer, but he suffers from a trauma.
“Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” first airs November 23, 2016 in South Korea.
Ryo Matsuda, Shuto Miyazaki (‘Unknown Number!!!’), Shintaro Anzai, Tomoru Akazawa, Hisanori Sato, Ren Ozawa, Mario Kuroba, Ryousuke Ikeoka and Tomoki Hirose are all cast in upcoming NTV drama series “Dansui!” The drama series is based on webcomic “Dansui!” by Tatsuya Kiuchi. Story for “Dansui!” revolves around a high school male swimming club with only 3 members. The 3 members attempt to recruit more members.
