Main trailer added for upcoming live-action film “March Comes in Like a Lion” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki. Movie is based on manga “San gatsu no Lion” by Chica Umino and directed by Keishi Ohtomo. Ryunosuke Kamiki and Keishi Ohtomo previously worked together in live-action films “Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno” and “Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends.”

Filming for upcoming movie “Robber” (literal title), starring Sol Kyung-Gu & Siwan, finished December 10, 2016. Shooting took 4 months to complete. The photos above are from the last day of filming for the movie. Story for “Robber” takes place in prison and follows the aspirations of an inmate played by Sol Kyung-Gu to become the most powerful prisoner. Siwan plays a new inmate who doesn’t answer to anyone. Movie is written and directed by Byun Sung-Hyun.
“Robber” will be released sometime next year in South Korea.
Miyu Yoshimoto and Dori Sakurada are cast in live-action Fuji TV drama series “Scum’s Wish.” The drama series is based on manga “Kuzu no Honkai” by Mengo Yokoyari. Also cast in supporting roles are Kouki Mizuta, Sarii Ikegami & Rina Aizawa. Story for the drama series has Miyu Yoshimoto and Dori Sakurada playing a high school couple. Their relationship is unusual in that they are both interested in other people, but portray themselves as an ideal couple.
“Scum’s Wish” first airs January 18, 2017 in Japan.
Choi Jin-Hyuk is cast for lead male character in new OCN drama series “Tunnel.” In the drama series, Choi Jin-Hyuk will play Park Gwang-Ho. He works as a veteran detective in the year 1980. He looks for a serial killer and travels to the present day to find clues. Actress Lee Yoo-Young is considering an offer to play the lead female character in the drama series.
Filming begins later this month in South Korea.
Yoon Sang-Hyun has been offered the lead male role in upcoming KBS2 drama series “Perfect Wife.” Actress Ko So-Young has already received an offer to play the lead female role and Cho Yeo-Jeong has already received an offer to play a lead supporting charcter. If Yoon Sang-Hyun accepts, he will play Kim Won-Jae. His character is a professor of psychology and friend of main character Sim Jae-Bok. They went to the same middle and high schools.
“Perfect Wife” will first air February, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS2 Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Hwarang“).
Teaser poster added for upcoming movie “Tap: The Last Show” starring Yutaka Mizutani, Kie Kitano & Natsuo Shimizu. Movie is the feature film directed by veteran actor Yutaka Mizutani (best known for his starring role in the “Aibou” drama series). In the film, Yutaka Mizutani plays a washed up former tap dancer now alcoholic. He is then tasked with directing the final show for a theater.
“Tap: The Last Show” is now set for release June 17, 2017 in Japan.
Lee Joon is now cast for the lead male role in upcoming KBS2 weekend drama series “Father is Strange.” In addition, actress Jung So-Min has been offered the lead female role and she is currently positively considering the offer. Veteran performers Kim Young-Chul & Kim Hae-Sook have also been offered supporting roles and they are considering their offers positively.
“Father is Strange” will first air February, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Saturday and Sunday 8PM time slot after “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop“).
Main trailer added for movie “Chotto Ima Kara Shigoto Yamete Kuru” starring Sota Fukushi & Asuka Kudo. Movie is based on 2015 novel by Emi Kitagawa and directed by Izuru Narushima.
“Chotto Ima Kara Shigoto Yamete Kuru” will be released May 27, 2017 in Japan.
Trailer #2 & main poster added for based-on-a-true-story movie “Let’s Go, Jets” starring Suzu Hirose & Yuki Amami. Story for “Let’s Go, Jets” follows a high school cheerleading club in Japan as they go to America to take part in a competition. The Japanese title of the movie is “Cheerdance” while the international English title is “Let’s Go Jets!”
“Let’s Go, Jets” will be released March 11, 2017 in Japan.
Here’s still images of Lee Kwang-Soo who will make a special appearance in KBS2 drama series “Hwarang.” In the drama series, Lee Kwang-Soo will play Mak-Moon. He is the older brother of A-Ro (Go Ara). Because of something that happened, he grew up alone in a village for the lowest class. There, Mak-Moon met Moo Myung (Park Seo-Joon) and they became friends. Because of Mak-Moon, Moo-Myung and A-Ro meet and Moo-Myung also picks up the name of Sun Woo.
“Hwarang” first airs December 19, 2016 in South Korea.
