Myung Se-Bin, Lee Chun-Hee and Yoo Eun-Mi cast in “tvN Drama Stage: Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste”

Myung Se-Bin, Lee Chun-Hee and Yoo Eun-Mi are cast for tvN drama special “Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste” (literal title). The drama special is the 8th installment in the tvN’s “Drama Stage” series to discover talented new storytellers. In drama special “Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste,” Yoo Eun-Mi will play young teen Han A-Yi. Her mother (Han Jung-Hee) is a former songwriter, but she got involved in a scandal with a married producer and has been a recluse ever since. For her daughter, she takes a job at a restaurant run by Jang Ki-Bok (Lee Chun-Hee).

“tvN Drama Stage: Our Place’s Tasty Soybean Paste” will air January 20, 2018 in South Korea.

Yoon Sang-Hyun offered lead role in MBC drama series “Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset”

Yoon Sang-Hyun has been offered the lead male role in upcoming MBC drama series “Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset” (literal title). Han Hye-Jin has already received an offer to play the lead female role. Both performers are currently “positively considering” their offers. If Yoon Sang-Hyun accepts, he will play Kim Do-Young. His character works as an architect. Due to his forward thinking in architecture, his business does not do very well. He receives help from his father-in-law and his wife Nam Hyun-Joo, but his wife asks for a divorce.

“Let’s Hold Hands Tightly and Watch The Sunset” will first air sometime this March in South Korea.

Kenichi Endo, Ren Osugi, Tomorowo Taguchi, Yutaka Matsushige and Ken Mitsuishi cast in TV Tokyo sequel drama series “The Supporting Actors 2”

Kenichi Endo, Ren Osugi, Tomorowo Taguchi, Yutaka Matsushige and Ken Mitsuishi are all cast in TV Tokyo sequel drama series “The Supporting Actors 2.” The drama series is a sequel to 2017 TV Tokyo drama series “The Supporting Actors” (“Byplayers”). The only main character actor from the first season of the drama series to not appear in the sequel is Susumu Terajima. He will not appear in the sequel due to scheduling issues. Premise for “The Supporting Actors 2” has Kenichi Endo, Ren Osugi, Tomorowo Taguchi, Yutaka Matsushige and Ken Mitsuishi all taking part in TV Tokyo morning drama series “Shimakko-san.” While going to a filming location for the morning drama series, they somehow find themselves on a deserted island and must figure out how to survive. Kana Kita will also return in the sequel drama series and again play the supporting actor’s manager Jasmine.

“The Supporting Actors 2” first airs February 7, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailers for TBS drama series “99.9 Criminal Lawyer Season II”

Teaser trailers added for upcoming TBS sequel drama series “99.9 Criminal Lawyer Season II” starring Jun Matsumoto, Teruyuki Kagawa and Fumino Kimura. The drama series revolves around Hiroto Miyama (Jun Matsumoto). He is unusual and sometimes obsessive, especially when it comes to criminal cases. Even though Japan has a conviction rate of 99.9% and there’s little money in being a defense attorney, Hiroto Miyama seeks out cases to defend.

“99.9 Criminal Lawyer Season II” first airs January 14, 2018 in Japan.

Two character posters for movie “In Between Seasons”

Two character posters for upcoming movie “In Between Seasons” starring Bae Jong-Ok, Lee Won-Geun and Ji Yoon-Ho. Movie was the recipient of the KNN Award at the 2016 Busan International Film Festival. The KNN Award goes to the most talked about movie in the New Currents section at the film festival. Story for “In Between Seasons” follows a mother (Bae Jong-Ok), her son (Ji Yoon-Ho) and his friend (Lee Won-Geun). After her son and his friend get into a car accident, the mother discovers a secret about them.

“In Between Seasons” opens February 22, 2018 in South Korea.

First script reading for SBS drama series “Return”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Return” took place November 15, 2017 at SBS Ilsan Production Center in Tanhyun, South Korea. Main cast members including Ko Hyun-Jung, Lee Jin-Wook, Shin Sung-Rok, Park Ki-Woong, Bong Tae-Gyu and Jung Eun-Chae attended. The first script reading took about 4 hours to complete. Filming began the same month, after the first script reading.

In the drama series, Ko Hyun-Jung plays Choi Ja-Hye. She is a lawyer who has a secret and she hosts the TV court show “Return.” She tries to reveal the truth of murder case involving the elite class. Lee Jin-Wook plays Detective Dokgo Young. He works with Choi Ja-Hye on the case.

“Return” first airs January 17, 2018 in South Korea.
