Kim So-Yeon is now cast in upcoming SBS drama series “Secret Mother” co-starring Song Yoon-A. In the drama series, Kim So-Yeon will play co-lead character Lisa Kim. Her job is to help students enter prestigious universities. She is hired by Kim Yoon-Jin (Song Yoon-A).
“Secret Mother” first airs May 12, 2018 in South Korea (drama series will air Saturdays after the conclusion of “Good Witch.”).
Fumi Nikaido & Gackt are cast in live-action film “Tonde Saitama.” Movie is based on manga series “Tonde Saitama” by Mineo Maya and directed by Hideki Takeuchi (“Nodame Cantabile“/”Thermae Romae“). The film is set in an imaginary, present day Japan where people from Saitama Prefecture are persecuted. For an even trippier twist, Fumi Nikaido will play a boy who looks like a girl.
Filming begins March 21, 2018 and the movie will be released sometime in 2019.
First script reading for MBC drama series “Come Here and Give Me A Hug” took place sometime between the end of March to early April, 2018 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. Main cast members including Chang Ki-Yong, Jin Ki-Joo, Heo Jun-Ho, Yoon Jong-Hoon and Kim Kyung-Nam all attended. After reading through the script 2 times, Director Choi Joon-Bae stated “I hope people working for the drama series become even happier due to their work. To make that happen, I think we need to talk a lot.”

Teaser trailer and poster added for upcoming movie “Killing For The Prosecution” starring Takuya Kimura and Kazunari Ninomiya. The poster was shot by photographer Nobuyoshi Araki on September 1, 2017 at studio in Tokyo. Movie is the latest film directed by Masato Harada and based on 2013 novel novel “Kensatsugawa no Zainin” by Shusuke Shizukui.
“Killing For The Prosecution” will be released August 24, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser trailer #2 added for upcoming tvN drama series “Mr. Sunshine” starring Lee Byung-Hun and Kim Tae-Ri. Teaser trailer #2 has narration by Kim Tae-Ri stating “It was turbulent times like yesterday is far, today is unfamiliar and tomorrow is fearful. We all were going through the turbulent times of Joseon in our own ways.” The teaser trailer features the five main characters played by Lee Byung-Hun, Kim Tae-Ri, Yoo Yeon-Seok, Byun Yo-Han and Kim Min-Jung. The drama series also features screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook and Lee Eung-Bok who previously worked together in popular drama series “Goblin” and “Descendants of the Sun.”

Dai Watanabe is cast for the lead role in movie “Usuke Boys.” Also cast in supporting roles are Masayuki Deai, Yuka Takeshima, Kenta Uchino and Satoshi Judai. The film is based on non-fiction novel “Usuke Boys: Nippon Wine no Kakumei Ko-tachi” by Kaori Kawai. Story for the film follows a group of young wine fans. They then encounter a wine maker (Isao Hashizume) who is responsible for making one of the world’s finest merlot.
In addition, a trailer for the film has been added on AsianWiki. “Usuke Boys” will be released sometime this autumn in Japan.
First script reading for MBC drama series “Parting Left” took place March 30, 2018 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. The first script reading featured main cast members Chae Shi-Ra, Lee Sung-Jae, Jo Bo-Ah, Jun (‘U-KISS’) and Jung Hye-Young. Before the first script reading began, Chae Shi-Ra stated “I flutter because it has been a long time since I have acted. I have high exceptions for the drama series.”
“Parting Left” first airs May, 2018 (takes over MBC’s Saturday 8:45 PM time slot after “My Husband Oh Jak-Doo“).

Park Min-Young is now cast in upcoming tvN drama series “Why Secretary Kim” (literal title) co-starring Park Seo-Joon. For the drama series, Park Min-Young will play lead female character Kim Mi-So. Her character has worked as the secretary for company vice-president Lee Young-Joon (Park Seo-Joon) for the past 9 years, but she suddenly submits her resignation. The drama series is based on 2013 novel “Kimbiseoga Wae Geureolgga” by Jung Kyung-Yoon.
