Supporting actor Jo Min-Gi has dropped out of upcoming OCN drama series “Children of A Lesser God.” The actor worked as an associate professor at Cheongju University for years, but the Korean media reported on February 20, 2018 that he was suspended by the university for 3 months due to sexual harassment & sexual assault claims by female students. Jo Min-Gi initially denied the claims, but more claims against Jo Min-Gi then came out overnight by present and past students. On February 21, 2018, the police announced that they have launched a formal investigation into the claims. Because of this, Jo Min-Gi and the drama series “Children of A Lesser God” have mutually agreed to part ways. All of Jo Min-Gi’s filmed scenes will be removed from the drama series. Jo Min-Gi was initially cast to play Kook Han-Joo. His character was a presidential candidate for an opposition party. Staff from the drama series is now determining whether to just remove his character or cast someone else to play the character.
“Children of A Lesser God” will now first air March 3, 2018 in South Korea. The drama series was originally scheduled to to air February 24, 2018.
Teaser trailer #2 added for live-action film “Bleach” starring Sota Fukushi and Hana Sugisaki. Movie is based on popular manga “BLEACH” by Tite Kubo and directed by Shinsuke Sato (“Gantz“). Teaser trailer #2 features a fight scene between Kurosaki (Sota Fukushi) and a human spirit eating creature Hollow.
“Bleach” will be released July 20, 2018 in Japan.
Trailer for Japanese-Korean film “Butterfly Sleep” starring Miho Nakayama and Kim Jae-Wook. Movie is written and directed by Jeong Jae-Eun (“Take Care of My Cat“). The film revolves around 54-year-old novelist Ryoko Matsumura (Miho Nakayama) and twenty something year old Chan-Hae (Kim Jae-Wook). Chan-Hae is from South Korea and he helps Ryoko Matsumura write her latest novel. During their time together they fall in love, but Ryoko Matsumura has Alzheimer’s.
“Butterfly Sleep” had its world premiere in October, 2017 at the Busan International Film Festival and will be released May 12, 2018 in Japan.
Seo Kang-Joon is cast for the lead male role in drama series “Something About Us” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Woori Sai Neueun” by Lee Yun-Ji. English language version of the webcomic can be found at https://www.lezhin.com/en/comic/something_about_us/. For the drama series, Seo Kang-Joon will play the role of Han Woo-Jin. He has been best friends with a girl since high school, but their relationship changes.
Television network that will air the drama series has not yet been announced, but “Something About Us” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.
Osamu Mukai and Aya Ueto are cast in NHK live-action drama special “Taiyo wo Ai Shita Hito.” The drama series is based on manga “Taiyo no Chugen-tachi yo: Shintai Shogaisha to Aru Ishi no Chosen” by Yoshihiro Saegusa. The manga itself is based on the true story of Yutaka Nakamura. Yutaka Nakamura was a doctor who helped introduce the Tokyo Paralympic Games and the general idea of using organized physical activities as part of a rehab process for disabled people.
“Taiyo wo Ai Shita Hito” will air sometime this summer in Japan.

For “Cheese in the Trap,” Park Hae-Jin plays Yoo Jung. He plays the same character as he did in tvN drama series “Cheese in the Trap.” His character looks like a perfect guy, but he has a dark side. Oh Yeon-Seo plays Hone Seol. She is an ordinary, but attractive university student.

Trailer added for Hulu drama series “Miss Sherlock” starring Yuko Takeuchi and Shihori Kanjiya. The drama series reinterprets Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson characters and places them in present day Japan as women. In addition, supporting cast members have been revealed for the 8 episode drama series. Now cast in supporting roles are Kenichi Takito, Tomoya Nakamura, Ryohei Otani, Yukiyoshi Ozawa, Yuki Saito and Ran Ito.
“Miss Sherlock” will be available for streaming from Hulu Japan on April 27, 2018 and HBO Asia will also broadcast the drama series from April 27, 2018 in 19 additional countries.

The film has Masahiro Higashide and Mackenyu Arata playing bickering brothers involved in the rally car racing world. Filming for movie “Outbreak” (literal title), starring Hyun-Bin and Jang Dong-Gun, finished February 13, 2018 and took about 5 months to complete. Meanwhile, here’s the first still images of Hyun-Bin and Jang Dong-Gun in the upcoming film. Hyun-Bin plays Prince Lee Chung and returns to Joseon after 10 years in Qing. He then chases after a monster. Jang Dong-Gun plays Kim Ja-Joon. He dreams of reforming Joseon. Movie is directed by Kim Sung-Hoon.
