This is the first film directed by Kazuhiko Yukawa who has previously written screenplays for such popular drama series as NTV’s “I’m Mita, Your Housekeeper” and “Queen of the Classroom.”

Story for “Koisaika Miyamoto” has a husband (Hiroshi Abe) and wife (Yuki Amami) living alone as a couple for the first time in 25 years after their son moves out of their home. The husband, who works as a middle school teacher, finds divorce papers by his wife, but he doesn’t have the courage to confront her about the papers. A cooking class though inspires him about an ideal family and he takes new steps with his wife.

“Koisaika Miyamoto” will be released sometime in 2017 in Japan.
