Park So-Dam cast in movie “Fifth Column”

Actress Park So-Dam is cast in upcoming movie “Fifth Column” starring Song Kang-Ho, Jung Woo & Ryoo Seung-Ryong. Movie will be directed by Won Shin-Yeon (“The Suspect“). In the upcoming film, Park So-Dam will play a staff staff sergeant. Story for the film has Kang Jong-Duk (Song Kang-Ho) investigating a case 15 days before he is due to be discharged from the military. He soon finds himself up against a conspiracy.

Filming for “Fifth Column” begins later this year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer for movie “Queen of Walking”

Teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “Queen of Walking” starring Shim Eun-Kyung. Movie “Queen of Walking” is a coming of age story revolving around a girl (Shim Eun-Kyung) who gets severe motion sickness in a car, but it causes her to walk everywhere and she learns she has a talent for it. She decides to take part in a national competition with her friend (Park Joo-Hee).

“Queen of Walking” will be released sometime this October in South Korea.

Sol Kyung-Gu & Siwan cast in movie “Robber”

Sol Kyung-Gu & Siwan (ZE:A) are cast in upcoming movie “Robber” (literal title). Movie is written and directed by Byun Sung-Hyun (“Whatcha Wearin’?“). Cast in supporting roles are Kim Hee-Won, Jeon Hye-Jin, Lee Kyoung-Young, Heo Jun-Ho & Kim Sung-Oh.

Story for movie “Robber” has Sol Kyung-Gu playing prison kingpin Jae-Ho. Siwan will play new prisoner Hyun-Soo. Hyun-Soo is the type who refuses to submit to others, while Jae-Ho makes the rules at the prison. Meanwhile, Jae-Ho has eyes on the top position in the criminal gang he belongs to once he is released from prison.

Filming for “Robber” began August 18, 2016.

Oh Yeon-Seo cast in movie “Cheese in the Trap”

Oh Yeon-Seo is cast for the lead female role in upcoming movie “Cheese in the Trap” co-starring Park Hae-Jin. Movie is based on popular webcomic “Cheese in the Trap” by Soon Ggi which was previously adapted in 2016 tvN drama series “Cheese in the Trap.”  For the movie version, Oh Yeon-Seo will play Hong Seol. Initially, the movie planned on selecting the lead actress through auditions, but after an unsatisfactory initial round the auditions were cancelled.

The director for “Cheese in the Trap” will be decided by September, 2016 and filming will begin February, 2017.

Ryoo Seung-Ryong & Shim Eun-Kyung cast in movie “Psychokinesis”

Ryoo Seung-Ryong & Shim Eun-Kyung are cast in new movie “Psychokinesis” (literal title). The film is slated to become the second live-action film directed by Yeon Sang-Ho. His first live-action film “Train To Busan” was released earlier this summer and the movie has already become the highest grossing film in South Korea this year (over 11 million admissions so far).

For movie “Psychokinesis,” Ryoo Seung-Ryong will play a father who gains supernatural powers. His daughter, played by Shim Eun-Kyung, becomes involved in an accident and the father attempts save her life.

Filming for “Psychokinesis” will begin in 2017.

Lee Jung-Jae & Yeo Jin-Goo cast in movie “Daerib Forces”

Lee Jung-Jae & Yeo Jin-Goo are now cast in upcoming movie “Daerib Forces” (working and literal title of “Daeribgoon”). Also cast in supporting roles are Kim Moo-Yul, Park Won-Sang, Esom & Bae Soo-Bin. Movie is set during the Joseon dynasty and directed by Jeong Yoon-Chul (“A Man who was Superman“).

Setup for the film has King Seonjo fleeing to Ming dynasty to avoid invading Japanese forces. Yeo Jin-Goo will play Prince Gwanghae who takes over for King Seonjo. Meanwhile, Lee Jung-Jae will play To-Woo. His character leads the Daerib Forces. The group consists of fighters who are paid to take the place of others in the military.

Filming for “Daerib Forces” begins September 5, 2016.
