Eric (Shinhwa) offered lead male role in tvN drama series “Oh Hae-Young Again”

Eric from Kpop group “Shinhwa” has been offered the lead male role in upcoming tvN drama series “Oh Hae-Young Again” (literal title). He is currently “positively considering” the offer. If he accepts the offer, he will play a man with the ability to see the future and his character tries to flee from two women with the same name of Oh Hae-Young.

Meanwhile, actress Kim A-Joong was offered a lead female role in the drama series, but she has now declined the offer.

“Oh Hae-Young Again” first airs this May in South Korea (takes over the Monday and Tuesday 11PM time slot after “Pied Piper“)

First still images of Lee Joon-Gi & IU in SBS drama series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo”

Here’s the first still images of Lee Joon-Gi & IU in upcoming SBS drama series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” also starring Kang Ha-Neul, Hong Jong-Hyun, Baekhyun, Nam Joo-Hyuk & Ji Soo.

The still images are from a scene filmed on a snowy field in Gangwon Province, South Korea. In the drama series, Lee Joon-Gi plays the fourth prince Wang So aka “Dog Wolf.” His character eventually becomes King Gwangjong of Goryeo. Meanwhile, IU plays Hae-Soo. Her character travels through a time slip from the present day to the Goryeo period. There, Wang So falls in love with Hae-Soo and through their love and friendship, Hae-Soo is able to grow as a person.

“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” will first air sometime during the second half of this year in South Korea.

Kim Beom cast in SBS drama series “Mrs. Cop 2”

Actor Kim Beom is cast for a supporting role in upcoming SBS drama series “Mrs. Cop 2” starring Kim Sung-Ryoung, Kim Min-Jong, Im Seul-Ong (2AM) and Son Dam-Bi.

In the drama series, Kim Beom will play Lee Ro-Joon. His character is the CEO of E-low Capital. The company is in the private loan business. Lee Ro-Joon has an attractive appearance, high fashion sense and refine manners with a gentle smile, but he is  actually a cold person and often calculating.

“Mrs. Cop 2” first airs March 5, 2016 in South Korea.

Here’s the first promotional images of actor Kang Ha-Neul in upcoming SBS drama series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” (literal title).

In drama series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo,” Kang Ha-Neul plays the eighth prince Wang Wook. He was born in the same year as his half-brother Wang So (Lee Joon-Gi), but to a different mother. He excels in academics and martial arts. He dreams of becoming the king.

“Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” will air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Gu Ha-Ra offered the lead female role in KBS2 drama series “Babysitter”

Gu Ha-Ra from idol group ‘Kara’ has been offered the lead role in upcoming 4 episode KBS2 drama series “Babysitter.” Currently she is “positively considering” the offer.

If Gu Ha-Ra accepts, she will play main character Jang Suk-Ryoo. Her character is a babysitter who graduated from a top university. The babysitter then gets a job babysitting 3 children from a wealthy family. The babysitter then begins to change. The drama series is depicted as a suspense-thriller. If Gu Ha-Ra accepts the offer, it will be her first acting performance since girl group ‘Kara’ disbanded on January 15, 2016.

“Babysitter” will first air March 14, 2016 in South Korea.

First still images of Lee Gi-Kwang & Lee Yeol-Eum in MBC drama series “Monster”

Here’s the first still images of supporting performers Lee Gi-Kwang from idol group “Beast”and Lee Yeol-Eum in upcoming MBC drama series “Monster.” The drama series stars Kang Ji-Hwan, Sung Yu-Ri & Park Ki-Woong.

The still images are from the Lee Gi-Kwang and Lee Yeol-Eum’s first day of filming which took place during the first week of February, 2016 in Paju, South Korea. The first scene filmed involved  Lee Kook-Chul played by Lee Gi-Kwang and Cha Soo-Yeon played Lee Yeol-Eum when they first meet in their young adult days. Lee Kook-Chul has a visual impairment and is a son from a wealthy family, while Cha Soo-Yeon works as a delivery woman for a chicken restaurant. Those two characters are later played by Kang Ji-Hwan and Sung Yu-Ri.

“Monster” first airs April 4, 2016 in South Korea.
