First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Father is Strange”

First script reading for KBS2 drama series “Father is Strange,” starring Lee Joon & Jung So-Min, took place recently at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. First script reading featured main cast members Lee Joon, Jung So-Min, Kim Young-Chul, Kim Hae-Sook, Lee Yu-Ri, Ryu Soo-Young, Ryu Hwa-Young (’T-ara’) & Min Jin-Woong.

“Father is Strange” first airs February, 2017 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Saturday and Sunday 7:55 PM time slot after “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop“).

Seo Kang-Joon offered lead role in drama series “Seen from a Distance, Green Spring”

Seo Kang-Joon has been offered the lead role in new drama series “Seen from a Distance, Green Spring” (literal title). Currently, Seo Kang-Joon is “positively considering” the offer. The drama series is based on webtoon “Meolriseo Bomyun Pooreun Bom” by Ji Nyoong.

If Seo Kang-Joon accepts the offer, he will play Yeo Joon. He is a third year university student. Even though he is attractive and comes from a wealthy background, he carries emotional pain with him. The drama series is in discussion to air on one of the three Korean major broadcasting stations, but has not been finalized.

Lee Hyun-Woo cast in tvN drama series “The Liar and His Lover”

Lee Hyun-Woo is cast in new tvN drama series “The Liar and His Lover.” The drama series is based on manga “Kanojo wa Uso o Aishisugiteru” by Kotomi Aoki, which has been previously adapted into 2013 live-action film “The Liar and His Lover” starring Takeru Satoh & Sakurako Ohara in the lead roles. In the tvN drama series version, Lee Hyun-Woo will play lead male character Kang Han-Kyeol. He is a genius level music composer, but hides his identity from others. He meets a female high school student with a great voice.

“The Liar and His Lover” will first air March, 2017 in South Korea (takes over tvN’s 11PM time slot after “Introverted Boss“).

Main poster & 2 character posters for tvN drama series “Tomorrow With You”

Here’s a main poster & 2 character posters for upcoming tvN drama series “Tomorrow With You” starring Lee Je-Hoon and Shin Min-A. The drama series will revolve around married couple Yoo So-Joon (Lee Je-Hoon) and Song Ma-Rin (Shin Min-A). They married 3 months after first meeting and the husband is a time traveler. Two new trailers have also been added on AsianWiki.

“Tomorrow With You” first air February 3, 2017 in South Korea.

Teaser poster for JTBC drama series “Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon”

Teaser poster added for upcoming JTBC drama series “Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon” starring Park Bo-Young, Park Hyung-Sik & Ji Soo. In the drama series, Park Bo-Young plays title character Do Bong-Soon. She was born with immense physical strength, but she wants to be a weaker, fragile girl for her crush Kook-Doo (Ji Soo). She has had a crush on Kook-Doo since elementary school. Do Bong-Soon then lands a job as a guard at a game company run by Min-Hyuk (Park Hyung-Sik).

“Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon” will first air February 24, 2017 in South Korea.

Kai & Jung Da-Bin cast in KBS2 drama series “Andante”

Kai (‘EXO-K’) and Jung Da-Bin are cast for lead roles in new KBS2 drama series “Andante.” Kai will play lead male character Lee Shi-Kyung. He is a high school student and has to suddenly move out into the countryside. Jung Da-Bin will play the lead female character. The drama series will air sometime during the second half of 2017 in South Korea.

Ep.14 of tvN drama series “Goblin” to air a week later …

Screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook has just finished the script for the final episode (ep.16) of tvN drama series “Goblin.” To have enough time to finish everything smoothly, ep.14 will now air a week later on Friday, January 20, 2017. Ep. 15 and the final episode (ep.16) will now air consecutively on Saturday, January 21, 2017.

Since ep.14 will not air on Saturday, January 14, 2017, tvN will air a special edition of “Goblin” in its place. The special edition contains story of the characters and foreshadowing of ep. 14-16.

Lee Joon-Gi and Kim A-Joong offered lead roles in KBS2 drama series “Criminal Minds”

Lee Joon-Gi and Kim A-Joong have been offered lead roles in new KBS2 drama series “Criminal Minds.” The drama series is a remake of U.S. television series “Criminal Minds” which first aired in 2005 on CBS. Both Lee Joon-Gi and Kim A-Joong are considering the offers. Filming for the drama series is planned to begin the first half of this year and the drama series will air sometime during autumn, 2017 in South Korea.
