Yoon Gyun-Sang and Jung Hye-Sung have been offered lead roles in upcoming SBS drama series “Doubtful Victory.” They are both currently considering their offers. If Yoon Gyun-Sang accepts, he will play Oh Il-Seung. His character is a detective. His name “Il-Seung” also means “Victory.” If Jung Hye-Sung accepts, she will play Jin Jin-Young. She is also a detective.
In addition, Yono Gyun-Sang is still considering an offer to play the lead male role in KBS2 drama series “Jugglers.” Both drama series are currently scheduled to air at the same time this winter. “Doubtful Victory” will first air November 27, 2017 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Monday and Tuesday 10PM time slot after “Temperature of Love“).

Here’s two main posters for upcoming KBS2 drama series “Mad Dog” starring Yoo Ji-Tae, Woo Do-Hwan, Ryu Hwa-Young, Jo Jae-Yun, Kim Hye-Seong and Hong Soo-Hyun. These six performers play characters who are members of the Mad Dog insurance investigation team. The team is led by Choi Kang-Woo (Yoo Ji-Tae) who has the nickname of Mad Dog. Kim Rae-Won and Shin Se-Kyung are now cast in upcoming KBS2 drama series “The Black Knight” (literal title). Actress Seo Ji-Hye is also cast in a supporting role. For the drama series, Kim Rae-Won will play lead male character Moon So-Ho. He lived through an unhappy childhood, but he is now a successful businessman. He is blunt, but thoughtful. Shin Se-Kyung will play lead female character Jung Hae-Ra. She works at a travel agency and supports her family.
First script reading is scheduled to take place 1PM, October 8, 2017 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea and the drama series will first air December, 2017.
Son Ye-Jin has been offered a lead role in new JTBC drama series “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” (literal title). If Son Ye-Jin accepts, this will be her first performance in a drama since since 2013 SBS drama series “Don’t Look Back : The Legend of Orpheus.” Plot for “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” has yet to be revealed. “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food” will first air sometime in early 2018 in South Korea.
Here’s 2 special couple posters for upcoming MBC drama series “20th Century Boy and Girl” starring Kim Ji-Suk and Han Ye-Seul. For the drama series, Kim Ji-Suk plays Gong Ji-Won and Han Ye-Seul plays Sa Jin-Jin. They have been friends since they were kids and develop a romantic relationship. The drama series will also follow the relationships of two other 35-year-old women played by Ryoo Hyoun-Kyoung and Lee Sang-Hee.

First teaser trailer added for upcoming OCN drama series “Meloholic” starring U-Know Yunho and Kyung Soo-Jin. Drama series is based on webcomic “Meloholic” by Team Getname. The drama series follows a man played by U-Know Yunho with a special power to read the minds of others and a woman played by Kyung Soo-Jin with two personalities.
“Meloholic” first airs November 6, 2017 in South Korea.
Lee Young-Ae is cast in new drama series “Different Dreams” (literal title). Lee Young-Ae will work again with director Yun Sang-Ho whom she worked with previously in SBS drama series “Saimdang, Light’s Diary.” Story for “Different Dreams” will be set in the early 20th century, when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule. Lee Young-Ae will play lead female character Lee Young-Jin. She is a doctor, but becomes an agent for the provisional Korean government.
The screenplay for “Different Dreams” is currently being finalized and filming for the drama series will begin sometime next year.
See list of winners at the 10th Annual Korea Drama Awards which just concluded in Jinju, South Korea. The award ceremony is part of the annual Korea Drama Festival. The “Grand Prize” this year went to Kim Sang-Joong for his performance in “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People” and the “Best Drama Award” went to both “Ruler: Master of the Mask” and “Goblin.”
