Main trailer added for upcoming Japanese-Turkish film “Kainan 1890” starring Seiyo Uchino, Kenan Ece and Shiori Kutsuna. Movie is directed by Mitsutoshi Tanaka and screenplay by Eriko Komatsu. Director Mitsutoshi Tanaka and screenwriter Eriko Komatsu previously worked together in 2014 film “Blossom Bloom” & 2013 film “Ask This of Rikyu.”
Movie “Kainan 1890” tells two stories. One story is set in 1890 and follows the Turkish battleship Ertugrul that sinks off the coast of Japan. Local residents make a valiant effort to save the Turkish crew members. The second story is set in 1985 and follows Japanese nationals that are trapped in Iran during the Iran-Iraq war. Turkey nationals attempt to save the Japanese nationals.
“Kainan 1890” will be released December 5, 2015 in Japan.
New teaser poster added for upcoming live-action film “Terra Formars” starring Hideaki Ito, Emi Takei, Takayuki Yamada & Shun Oguri. Movie is based on manga “Tera Fomazu” by Yu Sasuga and directed by Takashi Miike (“Crows Zero“).
The new teaser poster reveals the main characters played by Hideaki Ito, Emi Takei, Takayuki Yamada and Shun Oguri in a spacesuit for the first time. Premise for the film features an epic battle between humans and genetically mutated cockroaches on Mars.

Movie is based on manga series “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi” by Kei Sanbe and directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa (“Rookies”/”Until The Break Of Dawn”). Unique story for “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi” involves a manga artist (Tatsuya Fujiwara) who goes back in time to solve a serial murder case and save his mother from the killer.
“Boku Dake ga Inai Machi” will be released March, 2016 in Japan.
Tsuyoshi Muro is cast in upcoming live-action film “Himeano~ru” starring Go Morita, Gaku Hamada & Aimi Satsukawa. Movie is based on manga “Himeano~ru” by Minoru Furuya (“Himizu“) and directed by Keisuke Yoshida (“Cafe Isobe“/”Silver Spoon“).
In live-action film “Himeano~ru,” Tsuyoshi Muro will play Yuji Ando. He holds feelings for Yuka Abe (Aimi Satsukawa) who is the target of serial killer Shoichi Morita (Go Morita).

Actress Yu Aoi is cast in new movie “A Lonely Girl Has Gone.” This is her first time playing the main character in a film since 2008 film “One Million Yen and the Nigamushi Woman.” Movie “A Lonely Girl Has Gone” is based on novel”Azumi Haruko wa Yukuefumei” by Mariko Yamauchi and directed by Daigo Matsui (“Afro Tanaka“/”Sweet Poolside“). Story for the film has Yu Aoi playing a 28-year-old woman who works at an office. She disappears on a normal street with a lot of shops. After her disappearance, parody scribbles of her missing poster spreads.
Filming for “A Lonely Girl Has Gone” finished October 2 and the movie will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Kuranosuke Sasaki & Yu Yokoyama from boy band “Kanjani Eight” are cast in new movie “Expulsion” (working and literal title). The film is based on 2014 novel “Hamon” by Hiroyuki Kurokawa and directed by Shotaro Kobayashi (“Kaasan Mom’s Life“). Novel “Hamon” is the recipient of the 151th Naoki Prize. Director Shotaro Kobayashi previously adapted Hiroyuki Kurokawa’s 2008 novel “Enka” into 2015 WOWOW drama series “Enka: Gold Rush.”
Story for “Expulsion” has a film producer who approaches a yakuza boss to invest in an upcoming movie project. The yakuza boss agrees to do so, but the film producer runs off with his money. Yakuza member Yasuhiko Kuwabara (Kuranosuke Sasaki) and construction consultant (Yu Yokoyama) attempt to recover the money.
“Expulsion” will be released sometime in 2017 in Japan.
Main trailer and poster added for upcoming horror film “The Inerasable” starring Yuko Takeuchi & Ai Hashimoto. Movie is based on 2012 novel “Zange” by Fuyumi Ono and directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura (“Fish Story“/”The Snow White Murder Case“).
“The Inerasable” will have its world premiere at this year’s Tokyo International Film Festival (October 22-31, 2015) and then its general premiere January 30, 2016 in Japan.
