Dean Fujioka is cast in new movie “Umi wo Kakeru.” Also cast in supporting roles are Mayu Tsuruta, Taiga and Jun Yoshinaga. The film is written and directed by Koji Fukada. Filming for “Umi wo Kakeru” began August 5, 2017 and will take place entirely at Banda Aceh on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.

Hinako Sakurai and Ryo Yoshizawa are cast in live-action film “Marmalade Boy.” The film is based on manga series “Mamaredo Boi” by Wataru Yoshizumi and directed by Ryuichi Hiroki. The unusual premise for the film involves two married couples who decide to divorce and swap partners, but all live together in the same house. Both couples have 1 teenage child, Miki Koishikawa (Hinako Sakurai) and Yuu Matsuura (Ryo Yoshizawa). Miki then becomes attracted to Yuu.

Shinnosuke Abe is cast in new movie “Day and Night.” The film will be directed by Michihito Fujii and produced by actor Takayuki Yamada. This is the second film produced by Takayuki Yamada. Story for “Day and Night” will revolve around Koji Akashi (Shinnosuke Abe). His father committed suicide after becoming a whistleblower of a large corporation. Koji Akashi then meets Kitamura who works at an orphanage. He decides to take revenge.
“Day and Night” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Ryuhei Matsuda and Yojiro Noda are cast in new movie “Nakimushi Shottan no Kiseki.” The film is based on the autobiographical novel “Nakimushi Shottan no Kiseki” by Shoji Segawa and directed by Toshiaki Toyoda. Ryuhei Matsuda will play main character Shoji Segawa. His character has aspired to become a professional shogi player, but at the age of 26, he gives up shogi because of age restrictions. After bottoming out, he receives support from his friend (Yojiro Noda) and plays shogi again. The game of shogi is a Japanese chess like game that has been popularized in recent films like “Satoshi: A Move for Tomorrow” and “March Comes in Like a Lion.”
“Nakimushi Shottan no Kiseki” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Story for “Full of Lies” follows an antique dealer (Kiichi Nakai) and potter (Kuranosuke Sasaki) who come across an original tea piece by Sen no Rikyu.

Trailer added for upcoming movie “Dadadada Seventeen” starring Rigaku Suzuki and Yuho Kitazawa from rock group “the peggies.” The film is written and directed by actress Hana Matsumoto. Story for “Dadadada Seventeen” follows 34-year-old high school student Nobuo (Rigaku Suzuki) and high school student Rikako (Yuho Kitazawa). The two set out to find Rikako’s father.
